Once upon a time, in the faraway land of Cambridge International Education, there was a tutor named Sioban Parker. Sioban, renowned for her vast knowledge and passion for education, embarked on a mission to share her wisdom with teachers around the world. With the wonderful support of Lycée Français International du Cap, I was fortunate to be one of those teachers to go on a 5-week adventure called the online Introduction to Cambridge Primary English (0058) course.
Here are the key insights I gained from the course:
- Designing objective-led lessons
- Creating engaging activities
- Effective long-term and short-term planning
- Differentiation
- Looking at success criteria
- Understanding assessments
Noticed what I did in the above two paragraphs? By weaving elements of both fiction and non-fiction, I've crafted this post to reflect the very skills we're teaching our students. Through careful writing and thoughtful reading, we can inspire a love for learning that prepares students for Checkpoint exams at the end of Stage 6.
As always:
Mind the gap – bridge the connection!
