GREEN VILLAGE INITIATIVES VillageRise International- green village initiatives, promotes climate change agenda by acting as a transfer center of knowledge and expertise to communities, combining environmental protection and technical innovation to help communities adapt to climate change. We hold and advocate for tree planting activities as a measure of replacing lost trees and giving rise to new ones, hence, building environmental coping mechanism as environmental degradation is rampant. In the same breath we ensure communities are sensitized to take charge of their enviroment, avoiding negative impact of human activities on the environment. Utilizing green innovations like e-waste management, and re-using householdwater to combat climate change.

Progress in practical and measurable ways. Great that we are able to make this positive change.

We have committed to reducing our carbon emissions in line with the Paris Agreement by joining the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Our goal is a 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and a 90% reduction by 2050, informed by our 2019 baseline. We’re developing a Climate Transition Plan to meet the STBi goals, focusing on further reducing carbon and then balancing our offset emissions in a way that promotes biodiversity and environmental restoration. On this World Environment Day, we are proud to share something exciting: Our site in Querétaro, Mexico, has received a certificate recognizing our commitment to climate action 🤩 Our site in Mexico aims to go beyond its environmental obligations by participating in a voluntary carbon reduction project: "Biodiverse Carbon in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve." Through this project, we successfully offset 3 tCO2eq. This initiative supports climate change mitigation, protects forests rich in biodiversity and endangered species, and aids the local economy by supporting landowners. It is important to mention that voluntary offsetting is not a substitute for our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint, but an additional effort. This action aligns with our strategy, which, among other goals, aims to contribute to a more sustainable world.
