CEO at Business Agility Institute ◈ Change Catalyst ◈ Leadership Advisor ◈ Keynote speaker ◈ Connector ◈ Educator ◈ Advocate for modern, human-centric ways of working ◈
Last week, I had the honor of speaking at the Agile Türkiye Summit in Istanbul. The topic was near & dear to my heart - the need for organizations to improve how they prioritize work, manage capacity, and align strategic priorities to tactical work. Organizations are working hard to improve how they operate - more, faster, better. But without effective, ongoing prioritization - it's a lot like having a sport car stuck in a traffic jam. At the conference I shared that the 2024 Business Agility Report will soon be published - and the good news is that the capability "Prioritize. Prioritize. Prioritize" was the most improved capability in 2024. Whew! We need that. Are you interested in hearing more about the juicy details of the 2024 Business Agility Report? Evan Leybourn, Martin Foster, and Christopher Morales, EMBA, ICP-LEA are putting the finishing touches on the research report & it will be published in the next few days. Roundtable sessions are scheduled on 7 November to unpack the key findings and discuss the changing landscape of agility. We have 2 sessions scheduled to fit any timezone. Over the years of Agile transformation, we have found the shortest path to innovation! Our values have become guideposts: openness, prompt response, and customer orientation. These are not just words; they guarantee a vital IT component, particularly one of the best products and services for customers among banks in the country. Today, we would like to share three essential rules of our work: ✅ we make decisions quickly, follow changes, and not oppose them; ✅ we accept failures and learn from them; we respect each other ✅ our clients are a priority. While we are drafting part 2 of our Agile rules, share you opinion on the secret of leadership and innovation. What value can be considered the most important? We work for you for the sake of Ukraine! 💙💛

This is a very common phenomenon in digital transformations 📈 Company believes that by implementing an agile approach and technology, it will automatically start delivering digital products 🎯 Then the opinion emerges that each company adapts agile in its own way 🛂 It often ends up with agile being very distorted, digital products not being delivered, and the company abandoning digital transformation 🔥

Who agrees that the ability to adapt and thrive in today's crazy world is non negotiable? An agile mindset isn't just about methodologies, no no no!! It's a game changer for overcoming real world challenges. So what does that mean? Well, an agile mindset enables all this 👇 💥 Adaptability: Respond swiftly to change and uncertainty - Like COVID 19 💥 Innovation: Break down complex problems into actionable chunks 💥 Collaboration: Foster cross functional teamwork and transparency 💥 Efficiency: Streamline processes and eliminate waste 💥 Customer Focus: Deliver value that exceeds customer expectations - this is a goodie! Embracing an agile mindset - the 'being' rather than just the 'doing' will enable you to overcome tricky challenges with the best people around you. #chunkupyourchange #yourpeopleareyourchange #businessagility #EffectiveAgile #AgileMindset

We are living in a discontinuity age. In order to keep any business model relevant we have to have an agile mindset. No matter at a point any organization is at top of its game but unless they get on with the idea of continuous change and adapt, it would be just time that would put permanent breaks on it. That is an unstoppable trend. So, it is best to get on with the speed of change as compared to resisting with speed of change.

𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Many Latin American countries operate within time zones that are either the same as or very close to U.S. time zones. For instance, countries like Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and parts of Brazil share similar time zones with the U.S., making it easier to schedule meetings, coordinate projects, and collaborate in real-time. This alignment is particularly beneficial for Agile and Scrum methodologies that rely on regular communication and quick feedback cycles.
