🌟 Continuing with our consortium partner presentations, today, let's spotlight Karolinska Institutet! 🌟 Karolinska Institutet stands as the largest university in Sweden for research and education in the medical field. 🔬 Specifically, the Peter Bergman-group is actively involved in the IN-ARMOR PROJECT EU. This group is based in ANA Futura, a brand new research facility at the southern campus in Stockholm. 💡 With access to cutting-edge methodology, Karolinska Institutet is taking the lead in evaluating new compounds through two groundbreaking models. 🧪💊 Firstly, employing a cellular infection model in human macrophages, enabling the study of various microbes, including MDR bacteria. 🦠💥 Additionally, they've pioneered a zebrafish model to delve into the compounds' immunological and microbiological effects. 🐟🔍 Exciting times are ahead as we collaborate to drive innovation and advance medical research! 💪🚀 #KarolinskaInstitutet #BiomedicalScience #Innovation #Collaboration #HorizonEurope #INARMORproject #AntimicrobialResistance

The NIH Common Fund is conducting strategic planning for a potential Complement-Animal Research In Experimentation (Complement-ARIE) program to catalyze the development, standardization, validation, and use of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) that will more accurately model human biology. As part of planning for this potential program, the NIH’s Office of Strategic Coordination (which oversees the Common Fund) has launched a prize competition to solicit entries for new methods and approaches that would complement, make more efficient, or in some cases, replace traditional models transforming the way biomedical science is conducted. Winning ideas could help to inform the goals of the Complement-ARIE program concept. The Common Fund is hosting a Q&A panel discussion webinar where solvers can learn more about the prize competition and submit questions to a panel of experts. Register to join the Q&A Panel Discussion Webinar on December 6, 2023: https://lnkd.in/eqv35h_Y To learn more and to register to submit your ideas, please visit: https://lnkd.in/gRgnFPFg #NewApproachMethodologies #NAMs #ReplaceReduceRefine #BiomedicalResearch #PrizeCompetition #PrizeChallenge
