Introvert Guide : Modes of Viewers’ Migration. The relationship between Afternoon programming and Primetime programming may exhibit an inverse relationship, a parallel relationship or a contradictory relationship. Identifying the mode of the relationship has its distinct advantage on how viewers migrate from one slot to the next or perhaps how viewers determine ratings in terms of the two varying corridors. An inverse relationship may create a condition where gender, age and social class as factors inversely dictate the migration of viewers within succeeding corridors. Perhaps, determining the initial stratified ratings grids and its average ratings will mirror how inverse the relationship between afternoon and primetime programs. More or less, correct reading may translate to managing viewers’ expectations and engagement as well. Philippine Television Programming used to have contradictory tone in terms of daytime and nighttime programming. Eventually, upon the advent of Latin Teleseryes, programming moved to an inverse relationship. At the moment, what we have is a parallel relationship. Where migration is primarily dictated by age ... secondary by gender and lastly by social class. This kind of hierarchy is continuously moving in terms of concerns. What is essential is to spot the red flags of this migration in order to facilitate a much more strategic programming plan and far more comprehensive development of stories as well as content generation. #Viewership #ratings #audiencemigration #engagement #creativity #branding #marketing #promotion #tvnetworks #writing #television #primetime #tvprogramming #kapuso #kapatid #kapamilya

ALIENATION: Those who are interested in how brainwashing, programming, and alienation works, I suggest watching the documentary, "Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence." The documentary demonstrates how adults (Ivy League graduates) could be alienated from their parents, loved ones, and society by a program of brainwashing and programming. It is a chilling reminder of the phenomenon of alienation. And these are adults ... one can only imagine what could happen to children who are victims of brainwashing and programming. Parental Alienation is no different than being in a CULT. The link to the documentary is here: https://lnkd.in/e2VJZgdH

Despite big Emmy wins for Shōgun and The Bear, they may not signal the direction of future TV programming. Hollywood continues to prioritize broad appeal in their programming over risk-taking and critical acclaim. What this means for audiences: Viewers may see fewer innovative and critically acclaimed programming as Hollywood looks for more conventional programming, according to The Ankler's Elaine Low. Studios are shifting their production towards safer content that appeals to broader audiences. What about TV show programming? Hollywood continues to see a strong preferences for conventional "hard funny" half-hour comedies and modern dramas. That's despite big wins for Shōgun at this year's Emmy Awards. Agents, studios and network executives said period dramas and dramadies are out. What the Emmys did for TV before the pandemic: An Emmy win used to direct audiences to watch those award-winning programs, giving them a second wind. The awards used to function as a three-hour advertisement for quality television. It also was once the stage to put networks and streaming services on the map. For more... read the full article on the state of TV affairs on The Ankler. Someone messaged me asking about good TV programming for Christmas. If you're in the same boat, there are a few things to consider. Firstly, are you working with existing programming and looking to infuse a Christmas vibe? Do you want to revamp your TV content to capture the festive spirit, or are you seeking on-demand content tailored for the season? It's also possible that you're launching a new channel specifically for the Christmas period. If you already have a successful existing program, consider identifying entertainment blocks and swapping them out with the LATEST Christmas movies or animations, tailored to your target audience. Prioritise promoting these holiday specials frequently to build anticipation and remind your audience of the upcoming festive programming. This approach can also work for those who don't have gaps in their entertainment schedule but are willing to tweak their programming for the Christmas day. Emphasise that it's a special programming event to encourage your audience to make time for it. Include Christmas fillers, especially music, to conclude each hour, or use programming breaks to air high-frequency fillers like creative and engaging special messages. Consider giving your properties a Christmas makeover if you prefer not to alter your programming. Decorate sets with Christmas designs, and have presenters dress in festive attire for the day or two. Throughout this process, keep your target audience in mind to prevent them from tuning out. Adapt your approach to resonate with their preferences and ensure that the Christmas programming enhances rather than detracts from their viewing experience. #broadcast #broadcasting #broadcastmedia #television

https://lnkd.in/dxu2JqEn The Television Critics semi-annual event used to mean something but with year round programming, technological changes and the proliferation of platforms among other factors it is pretty irrelevant and desperately needs to be reimagined. When I was in the biz TCA was a big thing and I shared some of my fondest memories on a post from my blog “Revenge of the Masked Scheduler"
