Excited to share our review article entitled "Cardiac Autonomic Plexus Neuromodulation for Decompensated Heart Failure: An Updated Review on the Positive Ionotropic Technique based on the DRIPS Classification" is now published in Current Problems in Cardiology. In our Review Article, we comprehensively discussed Pathophysiology of Acute Decompensated Heart Failure (ADHF) in relation to modern neuromodulation techniques such as the Cardiac Pulmonary Neurostimulation (CPNS). We used graphics to elaborate on the The multifactorial pathophysiology of ADHF and how past and present treatments are targetting a different aspect of that pathophysiology. We discussed results from trials like NECTAR, ANTHEM-HF, and INNOVATE-HF and shed light on the ongoing STIM-ADHF & STOP-ADHF trials. I highly encourage all aspiring cardiologists to read our review article for in-depth understanding of such developing treatment options.
