Currently hearing amazing case studies in a webinar dedicated to the importance of patient experience data in research in the rare diseases. The importance of natural history studies and registries is coming across loud and clear. Key to success is partnership and collaboration between patient organisations and pharma. One of the things that drives me personally is making sure that these important collaborations are understood and supported; equanimity in the expertise is the founding principle. And all the case studies are highlighting the need for Patient LISTENING Sessions first. POs are discussing the complexity (time and cost) of creating Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA) that marry both things that matter to patients and things that can be measured.
