Good to work with the Cigna Healthcare Europe leadership team last week. Thanks to CEO Arjan Toor for inviting me to facilitate their strategy offsite. There were many useful insights from the workshop, and I thought it worthwhile to share some of them here.   Keep team coaching real and 'in the moment.' Last week we had a nice blend of the exploration of high-performance team dynamics and strategy work. An opportunity to explore collaboration, challenge, feedback, and support.    I often like to use the 'ZOUD' model (zone of uncomfortable debate), which you can learn more about in the article below. One of the indicators of team health is the ability to create safe zones for challenging discussions. I find that in many teams the most important conversations are the hardest to have. We talked about high-performance leadership teams taking the time to ‘look in the ugly mirror’ and to reflect and learn.   Coaching moments for both individuals and teams are useful in identifying the behaviours that block progress. Real change comes through creating and practicing new habits.
