How do you celebrate your wins?
6 years ago, I started a tradition that has continued to pay unexpected dividends.
Whenever I work on one of those big, ugly, "special" projects, the team gets pens as a simple, practical gift.
Change the World Project
Project Golden Spike
Project Galileo
...and more
Does it fully compensate them for the stress, late nights, and extra effort?
Absolutely not.
It does do two things:
1. Gives each person something practical, that they can use every day
2. Provides a physical reminder of the lessons learned (and that we survived)
Every time I pull one of these pens out of my backpack, I'm reminded of the learnings and the people who were with me through the process.
It also serves as a reminder to remain in contact with those with me in the trenches.
This is where the unexpected returns come in.
How do you celebrate your wins and remain in contact with those who supported you?
(Not sponsored, I just wanted to share because there are two more pens on the way for the next special project...)
Students aren’t celebrating because they feel like their accomplishments are overshadowed by expectations. I’m reminding them to celebrate the smallest victories and the smallest wins, because they have value, and they’re important. Student accomplishments are a big deal, they shouldn’t be overlooked! #studentengagement#youthdevelopment#youthleadership#studentsfirst
In a bid to achieve your set target, you can easily get stuck at a point. Don't get stuck forever!
All you need to do to move forward is to adjust accordingly. Making the right adjustments will help you aim better.
Don't lose focus, instead regear your focus.
Happy new week!

August Class Achievements: Let’s Celebrate YOU!
It’s not just about racking up the number of classes—it’s about the number of times you showed up for yourself, especially on those tough-as-nails days when it would’ve been easier to stay home. 💪 In full transparency, this is a new program for us, so I KNOW many of you have some incredible achievements waiting to be celebrated! If you haven’t seen your name yet, hit us up and I’ll personally look up your class count and make sure you get the recognition you deserve.
Now, here’s something super special I want to highlight—this amazing crew is made up of brand-new members, Yourh Girls, AND some of my OG day-one girls who’ve been with me since before I even had a proper system in place. That’s why some of these numbers might look WILD. (Like, 1,300 classes for Mary and Jess and Cassie’s 500 day 1s! 🤯)
But let’s keep it real for a sec—life happens, we all fall off track. What matters is that you JUMP BACK ON. Around here, we say everyone has a day one, and some of us have several. And you know what? We celebrate them ALL. Whether you’ve hit 500 classes or had 500 day ones, you showed up for yourself each and every time—and THAT is what we’re proud of. 👏
If you want to be part of a community that celebrates ALL the wins—big and small—drop us a message today. Let’s keep crushing it, together!
I can help to simplify your RSVPs and check-ins, making your events smooth and hassle-free. Let’s work together to create an unforgettable experience. #RSVPExpert
Celebrating small wins today.
Progress, no matter how minor, is still progress. It’s easy to get caught up in the big picture and forget to acknowledge the little steps forward.
Take a moment to recognise and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small.

Tip #5: Build Your Teen’s Confidence ☑️
Praise, encouragement and positive attention let your teen know that you value them, recognize their efforts and their contribution to your life. Let your child know that you’re proud of them when they try, especially when things are tough, and even when they fail.
Don’t just link the praise to the award, accolade, or achievement. We don’t want their self-esteem to be linked to the external award and indicated that without the award they are not worthy. Instead, congratulate your teen’s accomplishments, milestones, and growth by emphasizing their hard work, effort, and perseverance. 💛💚
Ignoring Little Wins for the Sake of Something That Never Even Happened!
Hello LinkedIn Community!
We are often too busy mourning our failures that we forget to celebrate our little achievements.
But what about those little wins? They are puzzle pieces for a bigger picture—the picture you will complete by fixing those little pieces together.
Back in college, I participated in my first-ever Parliamentary debate competition.
With no prior experience and a new teammate, I was competing against the best teams renowned for their debating skills.
To my surprise, my team performed exceptionally well, and we ranked in the top 9, missing the quarter-finals by just 1 spot!
How did I react?
I enveloped myself in the grief of not making it to the top 8, completely forgetting about how well we did against experienced and skilled teams.
Now, looking back, I am so proud of myself, but I regret that I didn't enjoy that moment at all.
Since then, I’ve learned to celebrate every tiny win. It’s those small victories that build the foundation for bigger successes.
So, take this as a reminder: celebrate your tiniest wins. You worked hard for them; they belong to you!
