Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos shared this pivotal insight that saved us 80% in revenue. 💰 Amazon’s customer satisfaction metrics showed that customer service calls were answered just under 60 seconds. However, Amazon was still recieving a lot of complaints regarding longer waiting times. So, Bezos decided to investigate this during a weekly business review meeting. He called Amazon’s customer service line himself and to his surprise he waited over 10 minutes without any response. This proved that even Amazon's metrics failed to reflect the actual customer experience. And it reinforced why customer perspective is invaluable, even when data looks strong. That is why: 👉 Customers decide what's valuable: Forget about what the numbers say about value. Customers decide what's valuable by their own feelings and experiences. Make sure to meet their needs, not just what you think. 👉 Loyalty means more money: Happy customers stick around and tell their friends. That loyalty is what really makes a business grow.
