This World Mental Health Day 2024, we shine a light on the importance of mental wellness 🌱🧠 through our Girls & Boys Empowered programmes. Over the past few months, we’ve conducted transformative Mental Wellness Workshops, impacting over 200 young men and women so far. In these workshops, where students actively explored different aspects of mental health and learned how to nurture their well-being, while supporting their peers 💭✨ Mental wellness is at the heart of everything we do—whether in school, at work, or in our personal lives. As part of this mission, our team at UWS recently participated in the How Are You (haywecare) Lunchtime Check-In Champion Workshop, learning how to be caring colleagues and to regularly check in on our own and each other’s well-being. A huge thank you to the amazing team at Roche for hosting our girls! 🧪👩🏻🔬 The exclusive plant tour was a highlight, allowing us to see firsthand the cutting-edge processes and technologies that drives Roche's mission of improving access to healthcare. Our girls were also provided a fantastic introduction to the company and the various departments, allowing them to broaden their horizons in the world of healthcare. What a wonderful time spent at our DIY Handy Skills Workshop with Repair Kopitiam, bringing together parent-daughter duos from Standard Chartered Singapore! 🔧💖 It was heartwarming to see them bonding while learning valuable home maintenance tips and tricks. 🛠✨ Teaching these essential handy skills not only empowers girls, but also fosters independence, confidence and a mindset of sustainability. The joy and teamwork shared today were truly special, reminding us all of the importance of equipping young girls with practical skills. 👩🔧💪 Thank you to the team at Repair Kopitiam for the invigorating session!
