Amidst a landscape where the lines between fact and fiction are increasingly blurred, and misinformation spreads like wildfire, the need for reliable sources of information and the preservation of press freedom have never been more critical. Journalists, the fearless storytellers and truth-seekers of our time, play a pivotal role in our society by shedding light on the truth, exposing corruption, and holding those in power accountable. Drawing upon the wisdom of idioms that have withstood the test of time, we find profound truths that underscore the significance of press freedom: "In the Land of the Blind, the One-Eyed Man is King": Press freedom acts as a guiding light in a world clouded by misinformation, empowering individuals with the truth and ensuring transparency in governance. "A Stitch in Time Saves Nine": The protection of journalists and the preservation of press freedom are not only urgent matters but essential components of a healthy democracy. Failing to safeguard these rights today can have far-reaching consequences for the future. "Actions Speak Louder Than Words": Attacks on journalists are not just physical assaults but symbolic strikes against the very essence of democracy. They aim to stifle the voices of truth and sow seeds of fear and doubt among the populace. UN you are showing concern for journalists but what you did when Israel killed journalists in broad day light. After thorough analysis I realised that there are two basic and fundamental structural defects in the constitution of UN which are 1. Veto Power System for the permanent members of the security council of UN. Since there is a body of all stakeholders in the form of General Assembly wherein all member- countries of the UN are represented there is absolutely no need of Security Council to accept or reject the resolutions passed by General Assembly. As such Security Council should be dissolved forthwith. 2. All member countries of UN are not signatory to the Rome statute consequently some countries are not under the International Criminal Court (ICC) whereas all the member countries have to be under the jurisdiction of ICC so that peace prevails in the world. . Due to these defects America has made a mockery of the UN as it is reduced to a puppet in the hands of the America. Consequently America with some allies have invaded several Muslim countries like Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya and looted several countries then leaving these countries after the loot is complete. Presently America with the help of Israel (both countries are not under the jurisdiction of ICC) is demolishing, doing cold blooded mass murders, devastation, destruction , displacement, ethenic cleansing, murder especially of children and women and genocide and the whole world including the UN have to be mute spectators of all this and nobody has the powers to question them because of these defects in the constitution of UN. More than seven decades have passed by but the above-mentioned defects in the constitution of UN were not rectified. Non-rectification of these defects has created a very grave situation as instead of peace maintaining organisation UN became a weapon of blackmailing and means of invading and looting the rich countries by some countries which were having the veto power also besides these countries were not signatory to the Rome statute consequently these countries were not under the jurisdiction of ICC. As the result these countries became law per se and virtually became terrorist countries of the world because they were not answerable to any forum for whatever they do. Now the climax of lawlessness has reached in Palestine where total devastation, destruction, cold blooded mass murders, genocide, ethenic cleansing, kidnapping and rape of innocent and unarmed civilians is being done and the whole world including UN have to be mute spectators because of the basic and fundamental defects in the constitution of UN have not been rectified. This is the highest time these defects are rectified by the General Assembly. Let General Assembly wake up after decades of slumber and rectify the defects as proposed above.

Presse Freedom This is not abide by different countries, we have Venezuela as example. Newspapers and channels shut down, and it is no only a question of right or left, where there is a dictatorship or oppressive government, you will find the restrain and limitation, or even disappearance of news and press,clearly not aligned, by the governing party greatly affected. The numbers don't go down Why? Because information and news is power, and no one wants this to be uncontrollable, that might result at the end the toppling of power. Many traditional newspapers don't exist, in different continents, of course this will mainly happen in Developing Countries. In Developed Countries, they are stronger, but might also be hindered. So if you control the press you control Information and Communication. Another related topic The salary of The Press Staff in Developing Countries are low in comparison, with the ones of Developed. It's a fact. And in many cases are not respected I leave to your take a saying of Free Press, does not change the present situation. Real and Effective Action is the Word.

Political attacks on press freedom, including the detention of journalists, suppression of independent media outlets and widespread dissemination of misinformation, have significantly intensified in the past year, according to the annual World Press Freedom Index published by Reporters Without Borders (RSF). Journalism is not a crime!

Protect journalists. Break the impunity cycle. Almost 600 journalists and media workers have been killed since 2015 according to Committee to Protect Journalists. In nearly 8 in 10 cases of killings of journalists globally, the perpetrator walks free. It is time to put an end to impunity for killings and other crimes against journalists around the globe. Each instance feeds the next one, encouraging existing and would-be perpetrators to carry on without fear of repercussions. In addition to the personal disaster of every single case, impunity threatens to leave the world in the dark about the most heinous crimes, in turn making it all the more dangerous for journalists to carry out their vital role.
