Perhaps DEI has/had good intentions, but that doesn’t mean it’s serving that purpose! And maybe it’s changed since it was first introduced to our parents. But rewarding people with things that they don’t earn with merit, seems to leave everyone in a confused, delusional, and unproductive state. Don’t take my word for it, go check out the 2nd law of Robert Greene’s 48 Laws of Power!… Being “Black” and a woman should not be the leading qualities in determining the manager at McDonald’s, let alone the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, to a president that seems like he’s struggling with his health (I’m being VERY NICE). We live in a society where we care more about making people feel good, than prioritizing morals, principles, and values. Many of the things we celebrate, are actually destroying our culture. Now we have a Vice President, who was only put there because she’s Black and a woman (and we have to admit this whether we’re fans or not) who believes her name should be in the mix to replace President Biden if it comes to that. She forgets that she was only placed there to appease the black community and women. We know it was not genuine. It was simply used to manipulate us into voting for Biden and once again supporting a party that makes promises but produces no results (regarding particular communities). If you disagree, GREAT! There’s nothing wrong with that! We need more dialogue with different perspectives. So check out the show last night and please tell me the areas I may be wrong about. I’ll be happy to listen to your feedback because it’s the only way I’ll grow as a person and that we’ll grow as a society. By the way, I’m not Republican or Democrat. It's not exactly a "hipster take" for Fall to be my favorite season (and my season-long sunburn would agree), but now more than ever here's why: 1.) 📈 Hiring Spikes: Big time, at all levels spanning small sophisticated boutiques with a handful of attys, major regional players at the "middle market" scale with offices all across the area, and AmLaw outfits finally through with the rush of Summer Assoc programs, Summer Assoc evals, and redirecting their attention towards filling pressing and imminent needs 2.) 🚨 Increased Hiring Urgency: Everyone (should) be back from their 14-week European vacations, and as such, hiring is on the forefront. In contrast to Jun / Aug, we tend to see the speed of job opening, candidate submission feedback, interview scheduling, subsequent round progression or rejection, and, ultimately, offer and placement, all ramp up to an F1-caliber velocity once the leaves start to turn 3.) 💰 Deep Applicant Pools: With hiring picking up in the Fall, so does the volume of the candidates applying to open roles.
