The European research project L3Pilot developed a Code of Practice for the development of Automated Driving Functions (CoP-ADF), which is the main objective of this document. The CoP-ADF shall provide a comprehensive guideline for supporting the automotive industry and relevant stakeholders in the development of the AD technology. The CoP-ADF is derived from gained knowledge in the industry as well as collected best practices in different topics. Thus, the CoP-ADF includes the following aspects: a) Collection of best practices on the topics that have been identified in L3Pilot as relevant; b) A typical process for the development and release of ADF; c) Safety aspects and methods to confirm a safe operation of ADF; d) Checklist targeting on engineers or to support the community. https://lnkd.in/d-j36jf

Friday, high noon = time for the Maritime Innovation Updates MIU - just a quarter of an hour! Analysis, evaluation and outlook of the future market for autonomous maritime systems (AMS) - sounds exciting? This Friday, we will present the results of a market study commissioned by the #DMZ German Maritime Center and conducted by #BM Bergmann Marine GmbH together with #FraunhoferFKIE and #FraunhoferCML. The aim of the study was to identify various European and national players in the AMS sector through a market analysis and to describe the current market on the basis of an industry survey. Among other things, market entry barriers for companies were recorded in order to develop recommendations for action for politics, administration and business based on the survey results. The sky’s the limit. ✈️ Led by Callen-Lenz, we helped enable an autonomous Unmanned Air Vehicle to operate safely Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) using automatic decision-making safety monitor software with mathematical proof of reliable and safe system behaviour. Proving safety-critical AI solutions exist without risks, D-RisQ looks forward to being involved in ground-breaking projects like BVLOS for UAS in future. Amidst the buzz surrounding the constantly evolving UAS industry, the necessity for an independent Enterprise UAS "evaluation/certification" organization becomes apparent. Key considerations include: Reliability Specification Compliance Integration Safety Record Flight Endurance Payload Capacity Maintenance Requirements Regulatory Compliance Data Security Measures Customer Support By considering these factors comprehensively, stakeholders can make informed decisions when investing in UAS technology for enterprise applications. I have often seen aircraft not live up to the marketing hype.
