🔥 Winning starts with an Invictus Mentality 🔥
And it begins at your very first meeting. Case in point: Jim Harbaugh’s tenure at Michigan, where he turned around a sinking program.
👉 Go to 22:22 of Jim Harbaugh’s first press conference as the Michigan head coach.
❓ Question: “how quickly do you think winning in Ann Arbor will be the norm?”
💡 Answer: “we have great expectations for the first week, for the first day of practice, for the first team meeting.”
YES. As a leader, it starts with great expectations. But it also is carried in everything you do–your appearance, your demeanor, your mental state, and your attitude not just in “game time” but also in meetings.
🐅 Leaders must expect greatness from their teams and ensure the winning attitude is present–from the very first meeting.

The taller the structure, the broader the base.
Likewise, the higher the rank, the broader one's awareness must be.
I had to build a wide foundation of broader knowledge than just my role before I could add value at higher levels.
Once I did, I accelerated up the ranks.
Attempting to influence while being naive doesn't work too well.
