On this day I want to recognize the hard work, dedication, and amazing example of all people involved in clinical trials. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I learned the hard way how important these trials are and how dependable we all are on these trials to be successful so that we have new and better treatments or just one more alternative, more hope. I am using the Clinical Trials Day to remind myself of the importance of: - Patient and Caregiver Involvement - Diversity and Inclusion - Proactive Planning and Management - Collaboration - Transparency - Teamwork - Beginner's Mindset We all need to focus on these things to make clinical trials more successful and to learn from the unsuccessful ones and evolve. I would like to thank my team also for fighting for our mission to Bring Research Closer to Patients. Through a million different challenges you never gave up on supporting Patients, Caregivers, and the Industry. You are true heroes! #HappyClinicalTrialsDay #clinicaltrials #patientsfirst #clinicaltrialrecruitment #clinicalresearch #standardofcare #trialhub #patientrecruitment #trialamendments #cro #cra #pharma #biotech #drugdevelopment #clinicalresearchassociates

The role of patient-owned medical data is transforming drug development, putting patients at the heart of biotech innovation. With increased control over their health information, patients are driving more accurate, representative clinical trials and fostering collaboration with advocacy groups. This shift is not just accelerating the development of new therapies but also ensuring they meet the real needs of patients. It’s a new era of patient-centric innovation in healthcare. #PatientCentricity #BiotechInnovation #Healthcare #DrugDevelopment #PatientAdvocacy https://lnkd.in/emAXGkFF

Physician-Scientist @ UPenn | National Bestselling Author, Chasing My Cure | Co-Founder @ Every Cure & CDCN
I wanted to share an exciting update on the progress we’re making at Every Cure. Through our dedicated medical team, we’re evaluating the most promising drug repurposing opportunities available. We’re carefully assessing the likelihood that each drug will work for specific diseases, the potential impact on patients, and the feasibility of studying these drugs in clinical trials. As always, safety remains our top priority. We’re incredibly fortunate to be partnering with Worldwide Clinical Trials, a group that specializes in advancing drugs for biotech companies. Together with experts like Dr. Michael Murphy M.D., Ph.D. they are helping us push forward these life-saving treatments. None of us can do this alone. That’s why we’re so grateful for partners like Worldwide Clinical Trials, and why we’re eager to connect with more organizations that can support our mission. If you have data, services, or expertise that can help unlock hidden cures, please reach out to us at [email protected] We’re all in this together! #DrugRepurposing #ClinicalTrials #EveryCure #HealthcareInnovation #MedicalResearch

What would be the key challenges of remote monitoring, as opposed to on-site monitoring in clinical trials? In an attempt to streamline and prioritise resources, there has been a shift towards a more targeted and risk-driven approach from the traditional on-site monitoring methods in the clinical trials space. Risk-based monitoring (RBM) heavily relies on early identification and mitigation of potential risks to implement a cost and time-effective method where unnecessary visits and oversight of low risk sites can be minimised for resource optimization. This can be a useful approach for incorporating flexibility in monitoring and make the process adaptable to evolving needs and various complexities of study protocols and trial designs. Overall, the purpose of RBM is to incorporate both remote and on-site monitoring, where needed. Have you encountered any key differences in remote vs on-site monitoring as an experienced CRA / monitor? Drop a comment :) #clinicaltrialsindustry #clinicalresearchassociate #drugdevelopment #medicaldevices #clinicalresearchorganisations #pharmacueticalindustry #onsitemonitoring #remotemonitoring #riskbasedmonitoring #dataverification #patientsafety #healthcare #lifesciences #medicalresearch #clinicaltrialprotocol #trialdesigns #sitemanagement #oncology #biotech #projectmanagement

Student Ambassador for School of Biological & Behavioural Sciences at Queen Mary University of London| BSc Biomedical Sciences (Hons)
I am happy to take part in the GSK STEP UP career challenge! Thank you Rachel Keane, for organising the GSK STEP UP live online career challenge. Giving a realm of insights into data science and data strategy, including emphasis on the use of data to develop pharmaceuticals, gain insight into drug activity, run statistical tests for future predictions, and create clinical trails. I learned from this experience to draw conclusions based on the given data about which patients benefited from the medicine and a better option for a more effective approach to standard care. Risk-to-benefit ratio and analysing trends in the usage of Miraculon-B among medical audiences.

📌 The latest draft guidance from the FDA "Diversity Action Plans to Improve Enrollment of Participants from Underrepresented Populations in Clinical Studies" is putting a key requirement on #DEI outcomes like never before. Now, Sponsors must present data on the safety and effectiveness of drugs and biologics across gender, age, and racial subgroups. Failing to ensure diverse representation could delay product approval or lead to rejection! 🚫 This means Sponsors need to tap into more research-naive and less experienced sites right in the neighborhoods where patients live. 🏘️ In a throwback to the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) IncluDE summit: Our Chief Strategy Officer Joseph K. along with Marland May, MS, Jane Williams MD MPH, MD, MPH, and Lisa Bjornestad, discussed strategies to support research-naive sites and the role of inclusive technology in improving clinical trial outcomes for everyone. "The last thing we want to do is bring a new investigator in, have them screw the study up because they haven't completed a lot of research, then saying "I told you so" - Joseph K. With every trial, there should be two levels of training: 𝟭. 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 (𝗣𝗜𝘀) 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 -> This is akin to teaching someone to be a good driver. However, just because someone knows how to be a good driver doesn't mean they can navigate from point A to point B without making wrong turns. 𝟮. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 -> Beyond initial training, we must offer continuous support and guidance to ensure investigators remain on the right path and avoid potential pitfalls. #clinicaltrials #DEI ProofPilot #clinicalguidance
