The World Bank Enterprise Survey monitors the monetary damages of climate disasters on businesses worldwide. The United States is getting harsher and harsher weather patterns making it the norm that every year businesses will have to account for climate damages in their bottom line. For large corporations, it may be an insignificant amount that fits into the rest of their operational costs but for a small business it can mean the end of their operations due to the overwhelming cost of rebuilding after a disaster. Not only that but Small and Medium sized businesses (SME's) are operating in a market with high interest rates and difficult loan solutions making the possibility of rebuilding based on credit and investment harder in the current economy. The World Bank Enterprise Surveys (WBES) for the United States in 2024 is actively collecting the data directly from businesses affected to give important insights into how the changing climate burdens the United States Private Sector. I lived in Asheville for more than 20 years and started Accelerated Adjusting LLC there. We only recently moved the offices from there to Florida, and many of our family members, friends and colleagues live there. Everyone I know there is either stranded from the flooding (multiple bridge and road washouts), dealing with trees down (on homes and vehicles or driveways and roads) and not a single one has power. Cell service is intermittent, and overwhelmed when it does work. This is easily the most significant weather event the area has endured in several decades, and maybe since it was colonized. As the waters recede, we'll be there in force to help the recovery efforts begin. It looks like we will have our work cut out for us. For those IAs in my network, reach out to Mindy Gordon for deployment opportunities. I have no doubt that we're going to need all the help we can get. For those carrier-side claims professionals in my network that need help in the Carolinas and TN, feel free to reach out to me directly. We have a significant local daily presence in the area already (meaning we're accustomed to handling the full cycle of claims rather than typical abbreviated catastrophe handling), and we have a large force incoming to augment the locals for as long as they need it. Something tells me that a lot of the response strategies might have planned for a less impactful event, and we might be able to dedicate some resources to making up any of those shortfalls.
Our hearts are with the communities in the Carolinas and Tennessee affected by the unprecedented storm devastation. From iconic Chimney Rock to flood-stricken Biltmore Village, the impact is profound. With our roots in Asheville, we stand by our friends and family and the community during these challenging times. As we mobilize our teams for assistance, know that we are committed to supporting the recovery efforts. #SupportLocal #CommunityStrong 🌟

Wow thing are really picking up speed in Red October. The hurricane and the police not allowing people to go and recover things from there homes and businesses sound like Maui in Hawaii, this is not about looting or protection of the people property or the people themselves as the government is not sending aid at all, no aircraft allowed to rescue those in flooded area or bring food or water to those trapped in the mountains, FEMA out of money ya right, lithium found under the Appalachian Mountains, now you know the truth, same in Afghanistan lithium found. It is all about money BlackRock. This is just the beginning, hold on to your seats, Middle East is just getting going. Weather manipulation has been done for years by HAARP and HARRP as a weapon of masse destruction. Those who control the weather controls the world by Lyndon B Johnson 36th President of the United States Corporation. Follow the money, the greed and power points of control. By the way lithium found in Canada having the large deposits of lithium in the world so we can expect HAARP to be deployed and an attack in the area where the lithium is.

🌪️ I just experienced my first hurricane here in Florida—thankfully, we weren’t affected that badly. But it got me thinking about the importance of being prepared for life's unexpected storms, both in nature and in finances. Just like how we take steps to protect our homes—stocking up on supplies, securing windows, and having an emergency plan—our financial lives need that same level of preparation. Whether it’s inflation, market volatility, or rising taxes, it’s crucial to have a financial "storm plan" in place. ✅ Do you have strategies in place to weather financial storms in retirement? If not, let’s chat! 🌟 #FinancialPlanning #RetirementRescue #StormPreparedness #Inflation #MarketVolatility #EstatePlanning #TampaFlorida

Communications and PR Manager at ShelterBox. Formerly at NSPCC, RNLI, Public Service Broadcasting Trust, and ITV.
At ShelterBox, we don't think there's anything natural about millions of people losing their homes to disaster every year. Too often people don't have time to recover from one disaster before the next crisis hits. That's why we're rethinking disasters and redefining our disaster relief. Join us in breaking the cycle. You can help by: - Signing up to our online pledge below. - Sharing our social posts with five friends. - Finding out more via our website. - Starting conversations when you hear people describe disasters as natural.
✍️ Sign now and join us in rethinking disasters. Nobody should lose their home because people in power fail to act. Yet every year, millions of people are made homeless because leaders don’t invest in preparation, recovery, and rebuilding. This pushes communities into a vicious cycle of trying to recover before the next disaster strikes. This is what true wealthy women do when American lives are in danger! What’s effective Leadership? President Biden-Harris mobilized evacuation efforts and rescue teams, and FEMA to the affected areas days before Hurricane Helene and Milton hit ground! What’s NOT Leadership? What did Trump do, used the opportunity for political gain and set-up a “Go Fund Me” 🤣 #VoteBlueUpAndDownTheBallot #VoteHarrisWalz2024

Along with reports that FEMA has, basically, run out of money and is not able to help American citizens who are currently experiences one of the worst storms since Kitrina wiped our southern Louisiana, now reports have surfaced that Kamala Harris went to some of the hurricane ravaged areas and told the people there that the Federal Government will be able to help each of them with a whopping sum of $750.00 as they try to rebuild their homes, businesses, lives! Then I came across the attached article. The democratic party is busy trying to make the case that all Donald Trump does is lie, lie, lie! Well, there is plenty of evidence that every lie they say he makes, is either his opinion (which is not a lie, it's an opinion), a comment taken out of context (which we ALL have done when trying to make our own point) or is an issue that may or may not be exaggerated, misspoke, or - indeed is a lie. On the other hand, the current running mate for Kamala Harris is a proven liar. Over-and-over. I know, some of you will say, "Oh gosh, he just got his dates mixed up when he went to Hong Kong, or he really can't tell when he's on a battlefield or in a gymnasium teaching gun safety. Heck that's an easy mistake..., on and on." Now this tidbit of news is starting to make the rounds. Kamala Harris is more willing to continue to spend hard-earned taxpayers' dollars on other people, than on our own Americans citizens. One question, "should we be concerned about other people?" Of course we should! But how can we help other people, in other parts of the world when we aren't even taking care of the people right here in the USA? You know, the very people who are the ones who pay the taxes so that our leaders can keep giving our money (and resources) to everyone else...?
