One of the biggest challenges faced by recruiters is the sheer volume of resumes they receive for a single job posting. LinkedIn and others make it very easy to apply. That's good. It eliminates the friction of getting your resume into the queue. It also results in some very large queues. It's common for a posted position to attract dozens, often hundreds, if not thousands, of resumes. With limited time and resources, it becomes impossible for recruiters to read each resume in detail, forcing them to skim through or use flawed keyword matching. It is unreasonable to expect recruiters to carefully evaluate every resume in the context of the job description for experience, potential, hard skills, soft skills, cultural fit, and red flags, scoring each area and creating feedback and suggestions for each. But if a recruiter had that information, imagine how much more effective they might be in focusing their efforts on those candidates most likely to be a good fit for the position. I'm getting ready to release a generative AI empowered system that will do just that. And as a bonus, it will draft a call screen script for the job description. All at a very affordable price.
