At The Motz Group, like so many other companies, after the pandemic, people were slow to return to the office. CEO Zach Burns and his team knew that it was not in line with their Evergreen® values to force the issue, but they felt they could be better together. As they considered options, they made a bold decision – to move forward with plans to buy land and build a significant new space for their team. Their whole team. Motz is a sport field construction company, and not all of their employees work in the office every day. Nevertheless, as an employee-owned business, the office was to belong to the whole team. As they designed it, they sought input from everyone - the office team, the field team, and even salespeople who managed and worked in other regions. The result was a space designed for, and that belongs to the entire team. Because of this, the team is coming back to work. Read and be inspired by this People First approach to the hybrid and remote work dilemma faced by so many today. #themotzgroup #hybridwork #employeeowners #sportfieldconstruction #TugboatInstitute #EvergreenCEO #EvergreenJournal

Zach is spot on in how we navigated this tough topic in today’s environment. Thankful to have the foresight of what moves the needle for our team and to have such a committed group of people to our greater purpose at Motz.

Thanks for sharing this. Many of us are considering these challenges - I found this to be very insightful!
