Nominate your hero to receive a donated Lennox gas furnace through the Lennox Feel The Love program. 💓 Nominate here: https://lnkd.in/egGZ9iU What Makes A Good Nominee? Feel The Love nominees all have one thing in common: they always put others first. But sometimes, these individuals need a little help making sure their own needs are being met. Many of our nominees simply don’t have the means to make their homes more comfortable on their own. That’s where nominations from community members like you come in. While unsung heroes come from all walks of life, some examples of past nominees we’ve honored include community figures such as teachers, firefighters, and volunteers; families facing hard times; veterans; senior citizens living in older homes; and people impacted by natural disasters. In short, anyone who serves others is a good candidate for a Feel the Love nomination. If you know someone in your community who deserves recognition, nominating them to receive a new heating or cooling system is a heartfelt way to show your appreciation. For more help identifying heroes in your hometown, consider partnering with a local nonprofit organization.

Organizations applying for tax-exempt status must be organized and operated exclusively for any of these purposes: charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, or preventing cruelty to children or animals. Organizations that want to apply for recognition of tax-exempt status under IRC 501(c)(3) will complete and file a Form 1023-series application. The application process on IRS.gov includes a step-by-step guide explaining how to apply for tax-exempt status: https://lnkd.in/decH4tDV

#EngagedLibraries spread happiness. 👗👔 Lasting memories are made for teens at events like prom. But for some, not having anything to wear stops them from attending. Sacramento Public Library in California breaks those barriers by inviting donations of gently used suits, dresses, and formal accessories to its annual Prom Drive. During giveaway events each spring, teens browse the free collection and take home the perfect outfit. Instead of collecting dust in someone’s closet, donations have the potential to bring light to others. 📲 We want to know how your library connects for a cause. Share your story on social media and include #EngagedLibraries in your post. You could be featured in an upcoming issue of Abstracts, on our community engagement hub, in an upcoming blog or video, or across our social media channels. ⤵️ Click below to learn more about Sacramento’s Prom Drive. --- #OCLC #PublicLibrary #PublicLibraries #Library #Libraries #Librarian #Librarians #LibraryLife #LibraryLove

“Hey, Eric, why are you talking about #GivingTuesday in July??? Doesn’t that happen around Thanksgiving?” Yes. Giving Tuesday takes place annually the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It’s a big day for The Rick Herrema Foundation (RHF). 6 reasons why you should think about it now: 👇 1️⃣ It will be here before we know it. The date will be Dec. 3 this year. That’s just over 4 months away. 2️⃣ With early planning you can maximize your impact. By understanding different organization’s priorities, you can make more targeted and impactful donations. Make sure you’re giving to a cause you support fully. 3️⃣ Leverage matching opportunities. Many organizations and corporations offer matching gifts on Giving Tuesday. By planning ahead, you can take advantage of these amplified programs for even more impact. 4️⃣ Raise more awareness. Starting this conversation early helps build momentum and awareness about Giving Tuesday. 5️⃣ Ensure more generosity in giving. Budgeting and financial planning ahead of time can help with giving generously by setting aside funds and building what you’ve already got. 6️⃣ Get more people involved. We’d love to get even more people in on the mission and vision at RHF, but we can only do that if we start talking about it now. So, don’t blink. Dec. 3 is truly just around the corner. Start planning now to do some good. ___ 👋 We’d be honored for you to choose RHF as an organization to support this year. ♻️ Share this post to help us start getting the word out, and make sure you’re following me, Eric Ballester, for more insights about military families, supporting veterans, healing after service, and more. 🏃Head to the link in the comments…..
