Last week our friendly Account Manager, Lena Wiese, swung by to visit our friends at James St in Fortitude Valley. Along with catching up with the cafe and bakery owner, she made sure everything was in tip top shape by doing a safety check, making sure their paper work was up to date and giving their equipment a good once over. This video illustrates how quickly a kitchen fire can escalate and the importance of a properly functioning hood suppression system not to mention proper training- in other words, don't pour water on a grease fire! Regular inspection and maintenance of systems is critical as is proper cleaning of areas where grease and oil build up.
