Good morning CA Cannabis Industry, It is a competitive marketplace, from all perspectives. For example, I seek the highest-paying clients for my products, as we all do. The way I differentiate myself is through quality of service. I have one client buying vape-grade distillate at $2,500/kg. Another buying edibles-grade distillate at $2,000/kg. They KNOW there is cheaper distillate out there. But, they continue to buy from me. These clients value what I deliver: consistency, transparency, thoughtfulness. Teamwork makes the dream work.

I know a lot of people in the cannabis space are from agriculture and finance and don't know much about marketing and advertising, and I actually like that a lot of the time. But it has been difficult to explain to a lot of our clients what a co-op ad is. And that's too bad, because a co-op ad means free advertising for a lot of you. I usually explain it via the Tourneau ad you might see on the back of the New York Times. Rolex pays for that, not Tourneau. If canna companies had their act together, they'd be buying ads that point to your dispensaries. It's a simple concept and it works for everyone. This is how 99% of car ads work too. Lexus pays, not the dealership. As for those of you who have brands and products, this is a great way to get into new stores. "Hey, we are going to buy an ad with TJM that includes and points to your shop." It's a beautiful symbiotic relationship in which money goes to real media and not Meta and in which you reach actual potential customers instead of teenagers on Instagram in California. Example below of our new Highdration Kitchen ad with Ideal Craft Cannabis ICC ...
Thrilled that Melt is now available at Ideal Craft Cannabis in Blackstone! Great group of people here - support your local independent cannabis shop!

Let's talk about what may one day be a national cannabis market. Today, all the legal states have their own bubble limited by their own geography, laws, and local markets. Pricing pressures come mostly from within the existing players, the blackmarket, or customers that travel across state lines to find legal product or a better deal. Markets come online, grow, and seem to decline with maturity. We have all seen it happening. What do you think will happen or how do you think it will happen once we get to the point when a national market starts to open up.

The phenomena in cannabis of certain growers thinking that their state grows the best cannabis over every other state is very interesting to me. A phenomena that is most common, but not limited to the west coast of the USA. This is not the old days of cannabis anymore when the west coast had a major knowledge and performance advantage above the rest of the country Times have changed and people have caught up in skill. There are growers from all over that can compete alongside you. My west coast brothers with common sense acknowledge this 🤷🏻♂️ Genetics catered to the growing environment can produce excellence in Maine, Michigan, Missouri and anywhere else in the country. Each area has value it can add to the industry. Rather than argue about which state grows the best cannabis, which is an ambiguous and loaded metric that middle-aged men can have d*** measuring contests about for ages on LinkedIn, let your excellence be clear in the photos you share and in the product you create. It’s better to have others lift you up than lift up yourself anyway Brass Monkey: Missouri-grown by Jeff Haines
