In May 2024, the federal government introduced comprehensive legislation focused on foreign interference in Canada. While much of the guidance on combatting foreign interference is targeted to the public sector, private sector responsibilities are also emerging. In our latest article in our Black Bag foreign interference series, we focus on the intersection between an organization’s employment obligations and compliance with evolving regulatory expectations to combat foreign interference.
