I’m at DAC, The Chips to Systems Conference this week and we have a lot of exciting news coming out about our Siemens EDA portfolio, including the introduction of Calibre 3DThermal, an innovative software for thermal analysis, verification and debugging in 3D integrated circuits (3D-ICs).   What excites me most about Calibre 3DThermal is that it integrates with a range of industry-leading design tools, including our existing EDA, Simcenter, and NX offerings: Calibre verification software, Calibre 3DSTACK software along with Simcenter Flotherm software solver engine. The tool can also be invoked through our new Innovator3D IC design cockpit, which was also launched at DAC.    Calibre 3DThermal and Innovator3D IC collectively represent a significant leap forward in 3D-IC design, equipping designers with indispensable tools to navigate thermal challenges across the entire design lifecycle.   Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gAgsKuvB

On International Women in Engineering Day, I'm thinking about a recent meeting with one of our industry analysts at our Realize LIVE users conference. The analyst started by complimenting me on what we have done with the organization, noting, "When you started as CEO 8 years ago I remember that your team was not so diverse on gender. Today I see this has changed completely with the number of female leaders you have in very senior positions." From my perspective, and what I told him, is these results are not just about us moving people up, it's truly people that have earned the right to the job and a testament to the programs we have put in place to develop our talent. What better compliment can an organization receive for referencing our work with women in engineering? So today and every day, I would like to thank and honor all our women in engineering for their unwavering dedication in shaping the future of Siemens, engineering, and the world. #INWED24 #enhancedbyengineering

That’s a wrap on #RealizeLIVE 2024 from Las Vegas, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share the unique ways we have helped our innovative customers bring digital transformation to life. From the world of sustainable design, battery development and the defense industry to true immersive engineering, boosting circular economy and optimizing process flow, attendees saw firsthand how leaders and pioneers are transforming the world around us at speed. For my part, I was excited to share how we are building on our strategy of the most comprehensive digital twin, and using this critical data backbone to uniquely leverage the potential of AI across the industrial space. With as-a-service offerings right sized for customers needs, and a strong ecosystem connected through digital threads tailored to specific industry solutions, I continue to be inspired when I see where technology is taking us and how we can continue to serve our customers. While we were proud to offer a glimpse into Siemens’ vision, I was also thrilled to see the 2,000+ attendees exploring the wider ecosystem around Siemens’ software solutions and learning from their peers at the Solution Center, the hub of activities which brought together 58 sponsor booths from partners, smaller-stage presentations for deeper insights, and opportunities to connect directly with experts. We also prioritized empowering and showcasing the next generation of engineers through the Student Sustainability Design Hack. Five student teams from six universities across North America, sponsored by Deloitte, Microsoft and Andretti, tackled a sustainability challenge for Andretti Global using Siemens' NX software. With only 48 hours to complete the challenge, students worked creatively to redesign Andretti's current scaling system for their race cars while prioritizing sustainability, innovation and maneuverability. At #RealizeLIVE this week, I had the privilege of discussing how Siemens' robust ecosystem and our strategic partnerships are consistently delivering unparalleled value to our customers with speed. I'm thrilled to announce an expansion of our collaboration with Microsoft, aimed at integrating the cutting-edge Azure AI capabilities into the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. Through this continued collaboration plus the latest advancements in AI and Copilot, we're building on the launch of the Teamcenter app on Microsoft Teams, which connects frontline factory and service teams to design and engineering teams through Siemens’ industry-leading Teamcenter software for PLM. Following the announcement at CES earlier this year, I’m pleased to have Sony yet again on stage, this time at Realize LIVE, to share to share how our industry-leading Siemens Xcelerator combined with Sony’s cutting-edge XR head-mounted display (HMD) is bringing an immersive engineering experience to our customers around the world.   As a longtime customer of ours, Sony relied on the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, including our NX software, to develop the new HMD, which is specifically designed to work with our NX solution. Combining the real and digital worlds has long been Siemens' differentiator, and this integration of Sony’s hardware and Siemens software is allowing engineers to collaborate and create around the world in real-time, interacting with the digital twin in novel ways with precision control. We’re less than a week away from #RealizeLIVE 2024, our annual user conference. What an honor it’s been to lead our booth efforts this week at HANNOVER MESSE. With over 100,000 visitors from all types of industries, politicians, industry analysts and media from around the world, we have presented our vision for a value-driven digitalization story through industry use cases, cutting-edge software, and world-leading automation. This year we partnered with the country of Norway to spotlight the innovation and inspiring customer stories coming out of this region. Norway is in the midst of a dramatic “green shift” with nearly 100% of electricity production coming from renewable sources and a push to electrify everything. This is a great example of embracing technology to take on this enormous opportunity to transform industry for sustainability.  A sincere thank you to our partners for their collaboration and to #TeamSiemens for the extraordinary effort to make this all happen. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here with you all. A lot happened at our HANNOVER MESSE booth yesterday so let me share a few highlights: ➡ We welcomed the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz together with the Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre to tour our booth and try out the Siemens Industrial Copilot by controlling our AI powered picking robot with just the power of their voices. ➡ We showcased the unique breadth and depth of Siemens technology across automation and software applications, as only Siemens can do. ➡ I joined Cedrik Neike on stage at our press conference to highlight our latest advancements in AI and the Industrial Metaverse, and share the latest announcement of generative AI with Siemens Industrial Copilot. At Siemens, we are never done extending the comprehensive digital twin, and now with AI and the industrial metaverse we are democratizing access to this integrated end-to-end data flow to enable better decision-making, and better collaboration. With the announcement of the Siemens Industrial Copilot, customers will accelerate the generation of complex automation code, reduce development times, and increase productivity. Between the latest AI innovations and our Immersive Engineering headset by Sony, we can revolutionize the way designers and engineers create and explore content within the industrial environment.
