Bring a variety of options - 3-5 outfits minimum. More if you like. Avoid bulky clothing, loud colors, and clothing with loud prints. Always bring at least one blazer or jacket - preferably blue. It will always provide a more professional look than just a shirt, blouse, or dress alone. I highly recommend white and powder blue dress shirts or tops - these two are classic. Lastly. Your headshot should look like you. So feel free to break the rules. Bring a couple of "safe" outfits and bring outfits then forget about the rules and bring whatever you feel like represents you the most.

5 Things I Wear When I Gained Weight 1. High-waisted jeans with stretch. High-waisted pants are your best friend when you’ve gained weight or are feeling a little bloated. It may feel a little weird at first if you’re not used to it because you think that your belly bump is accentuated. 2. Bodysuits. Fun fact. I never used to like bodysuits. I always thought it was odd to wear a bathing suit during the day lol. Well, that line of thought is completely gone! A body suit gives a smooth look across the chest and waist and is a great piece for layering under jackets and blazers and dresses. 3. Waistbands with elasticity. Whether its a dress or pants a little elasticity goes a long way! It allows your stomach to expand and remain comfortable. 4. Lightweight fabrics with movement. Flowy and easy to pull on and off are a winner! Coordinated sets or flowing dusters with a bodysuit and sandals are my go-to uniforms. They allow ease and style to co-exist. 5. Dresses. Dresses that are loose fitting through the belly area are carefree and easy. Just throw them on and go! I can’t tell you how many times I’m working with a client and the outfit they come in just isn’t working for one reason or another. This is no big deal if they have options. However if they show up in only what they are wearing there is really nothing we can do about it. My rule of thumb is at least 5 options.
