Diversity means a lot when it touches you personally. It doesn't strictly mean that you need to be one to know one... Without entering into personal details, I have seen many individuals reaching out their true potential and being fully recognised once they felt welcomed and accepted. Diversity is about creating an environment where everyone feels respected and valued for who they are, regardless of their background, identity, or experiences. When people feel safe and supported, they are more likely to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities in meaningful ways.
In this candid conversation, Mario Papillon, our CEO for IRT Business unit, sheds light on the personal and professional hurdles that LGBTQIA+ individuals encounter and the significance of Pride Month as a time for reflection and celebration of diversity. He also provides practical tips on how we can support and stand in solidarity with the community. #PrideMonth #LGBTQIA #Inclusion

What better way to kick off #PrideMonth than celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and the many contributions of leaders from across Greater Boston making change for a more equitable and inclusive Commonwealth? Our team had a great time at the Boston Business Journal Business of Pride event last week, and we look forward to joining other festivities throughout the month (and year-round). The event was also a reminder of how, each year, more companies are adopting communications (and marketing) campaigns to demonstrate allyship. The most successful of those are ones that reflect authentic actions to advance LGBTQIA+ priorities and celebrate team contributions. That's why we wanted to re-share these five things to keep in mind for successful campaigns that support LGBTQIA+ rights movements and promote self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of this community. https://lnkd.in/e8HHGAXV

Thanks for helping reveal our 2024 PRIDE vehicles today François Dossa. It genuinely gives me great pride to work for a company that provides support for diversity networks such as ours, and has such visibility in it’s leadership. Working with Fei Gu as Co-lead for creative within the JLR PRIDE network, we’ve worked hard on designing the vehicle liveries for our 2024 pride season. We've had a number of great designs for pride vehicles in the past, but one consistent piece of feedback we had from people in our PRIDE network was that they wanted to see more colour! As a community we are bright & diverse, the pride progress flag represents that, and so we wanted to include all colours of the progress flag to represent all members of the LGBTQ+ community. In this election year, there is already a great amount of noise over LGBT+ rights and issues being debated in public - Trans rights & healthcare, a ban on conversion therapy, relationship & sexual health education in schools to name a few. It is important to acknowledge the noise that has created and what it can do to our mental health to have our rights and existence up for debate. As a network and a community, we need to support each other and cut through all of the noise, and we also need to engage with allies to help us do that. As proud creators of modern luxury, we should feel emboldened to show our colours, and proud to stand and be visible. We certainly believe this year's PRIDE vehicles are visible! And we hope you do too. (Also found 5 mins to throw together a REAL quick animation)
At JLR, PRIDE is something we commit to all year round through our policies and culture rather than only one day or one month, but PRIDE month is about raising awareness and celebrating the inclusion of LGBT+ communities and allies. Today, I was privileged to unveil the Defender and Jaguar F-TYPE vehicles that will form part of our PRIDE fleet, joining our colleagues who will be proudly marching in parades across the globe, in Birmingham and London, all the way to Portland and New York. These parades honour the Stonewall riots, which were a historical catalyst in changing attitudes towards LGBTQ+ people, campaigning for equal rights, and fighting homophobia. They look amazing and I’d like to say a huge thank you to our creative colleagues at JLR, Fei Gu and Louis Gospel for their roles in this years designs which feature the colours of the PRIDE progress flag to represent of all aspects of our diverse community. So, as we stand tall this PRIDE month as allies of LGBTQ+ people, let’s remember that PRIDE plays such an important part in our history, and let’s strive to promote a world where we champion acceptance and safe spaces for all. #PRIDE #Inclusion

JND Legal Administration, support that is superficial is getting called out these days. Supporting the LGBTQ+ community requires more than making a post and supporting gay white men… you’ve still got to work on eliminating racism and sexism in your workplace before you can be any kind of positive ally. Yes, I know Jennifer Keough and Neil Zola (who has either removed his profile, or is a sexist and racist coward who blocked me) don’t care. However, Jen seems to care about her social media image and Neil seems to care about liability. A push on both could help towards change. Holding yourself to the standards of Seattle would help your social media image, reduce liability, and if done correctly, would increase both morale and productivity. There’s a reason most business people in Seattle see taking care of your employees as a no brainer, common sense approach. #JNDLegalAdministration #classactions #civilrights #toxicworkenviroment #seattle #LGBTQ+ #alphabetmafia #neilzola
This Pride Month, JND celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, honoring its rich history, resilience, and the ongoing fight for equality. It serves as a reminder of the courage it takes to live authentically and the progress achieved through decades of activism and solidarity. From the Stonewall Riots to modern-day advocacy, Pride Month is a time to acknowledge the contributions of LGBTQIA+ individuals to society, promote inclusivity, and continue the pursuit of justice and acceptance for all. As we celebrate with parades, festivals, and educational events, we reaffirm our commitment to standing with the LGBTQIA+ community in the pursuit of a world where everyone can live openly and freely. #pride2024 #inclusion #celebration

Great to see our teams celebrating what “Impact Matters” and what National Inclusion Week means to them! Yesterday, I carried on my usual thing I do on trains, just a weird habit of mine. Asking passengers on my train what music they were listening to. 💃 A simple question led to a great conversation about their travel, plans for their day, and some new additions to my playlist! 🎶 It reminded me how small moments can spark meaningful connections. 💬 How are you celebrating inclusion this week? #impactmatters #greeneking
This National Inclusion Week, we caught up with the chairs from our four employee-led inclusion groups (ELIGs) to find out what National Inclusion Week and this year’s theme “Impact Matters” means to them. Our employee led inclusion groups – Greene Sky (our female community group), The Village Greene (Our LGBTQ+ community group), Unity (our Black, Asian and minority ethnic community group) and Ability (our disability inclusion group) play a vital role in supporting Greene King on our journey to Everyday Inclusion, helping raise awareness, promoting allyship and celebrating the communities that they represent. #NIW2024 #Inclusion #EverydayInclusion #ImpactMatters #GreeneKing

Since their beginning in 2022, Out in Climate has hosted over 25 events, connecting 1,000+ queer professionals among different sectors in the environmental space like climate startups, investors, corporations, government and NGOs.
