I'm doing my best and trying to keep the family healthy and help them not catch whatever the heck I have. Pro Tip #1: If you hyperlink your portfolio link on your resume it's super helpful! That way we can just click straight from your resume to open your portfolio and don't have to do a copy/paste. Pro Tip #2: Don't hyperlink the word "Portfolio" on your resume, actually type out the URL and hyperlink that. #thesinusheadacheisreal

All recruiters have that one thing they notice first when reviewing a resume. Sometimes its format, photos, the length… When I see a resume my eyes immediately scan the left, top to bottom, looking for beginning verbs. And I CRINGE when I see “sidekick verbs”. While adding every part-time high school or early adulthood job may not be necessary with extensive work experience, job interviews provide an excellent platform to strategically weave in those early career experiences. Being multifaceted and showcasing the skills acquired from various roles, even those seemingly mundane ones, demonstrates the ability to reflect, evolve, and learn over the years. It's not about the quantity of jobs on your resume but rather the valuable skills and insights gained throughout your career journey. Because reels will be there forever you have to make sure they’re top quality… So when people flick through your page they get a good impression. The difference with stories is that they’ll be gone after 24 hours. Meaning you can play around a bit more with them. But not so much that you go off topic of course!
