For the 3rd time, Improve Veterinary Education, this time with Vetnordic, have asked me to lecture on my "Everyday Surgery without the Stress" course. I'm not a fan of calling courses "basic" or "routine" surgery, because those titles do not prepare the team for the procedure ahead. There are however procedures that are performed on a regular basis, and which we can always be better at. This course is aimed at any vets who are wanting to improve their surgical knowledge, because they are recently graduated, or more experienced but uncertain in their skills and wanting a few more tips & tricks. The course is very practical with lots of personal input from my nearly 15 years as a referral surgeon, while still being evidence-based. We discuss everything from multimodal analgesic protocols and planning the surgical day, to theoretical and practical sessions on commonly performed procedures. The course is to be held just outside Copenhagen in Denmark, so international delegates are also very welcome. Come and enjoy Denmark's "hygge"! End-stage bilateral medial compartmental disease of the elbow in an adult dog. This disease is terrible and causes significant suffering.
