With today being Earth Day, we wanted to share the sustainability journey we have been on so far. At Aircraft Interiors Expo 2023 we showcased a green wall dedicated to our eco credentials. We introduced our ‘material collaboration’ approach to sustainability, working closely with industry-leading suppliers to actively engage in looking at alternative materials and processes leading to increased sustainable manufacturing. We also joined the Green Cabin Alliance. We have now reviewed all aspects of the business in order to produce a sustainability report. This is vital in helping us to continue to shape our strategies and in helping us to conduct ourselves today in a way that safeguards the future. Our sustainability report showcases our efforts and initiatives across the three pillars of ESG: Environmental, Social and Governance. We are excited to develop our ESG strategy further and demonstrate our commitment to the world we live in through a more sustainable business. Focusing solely on carbon emissions might not be the complete picture when it comes to sustainability. Partnering with HL Display - The better shopping experience to increase recycled content in PVC compounds As demand for recycled materials rises, meeting this demand presents persistent challenges. Recycled PVC, in particular, faces issues of cleanliness and quality. Addressing these challenges and reducing emissions requires collaboration across the value chain. By working closely with our suppliers, we at Thevinyl innovate solutions that reduce emissions across the board. Continuous dialogue with our suppliers allows us to demonstrate our ambitious climate work, communicate expectations, and collaborate on solutions to common challenges. Both Thevinyl and HL face increasing customer inquiries about climate impact and recycled material. This trickle-down effect will likely grow with more legislation requiring traceability and transparency. Thevinyl conducts Life Cycle Assessments to meet these demands, aiding customers like HL in understanding product footprints. Collaborative efforts between Thevinyl and HL aim to innovate solutions for quality challenges. Future collaborations will be essential, and Thevinyl extends this collaboration to include our suppliers. For example, together with INEOS Inovyn, we explore ways to reduce carbon emissions jointly. Going forward, Thevinyl and HL will continue to work closely, testing and experimenting with new solutions within PVC. Nobia's goal is to become the sustainability and design leader in the kitchen industry. Want to know how we are keeping up? Last week, we published our Sustainability Report for 2023. Here’s what we have accomplished: ⛳ We lowered our GHG-emissions by a whopping 79% since 2016, surpassing our Science Based Target of 72%. 🌍 61% of our most climate impacting suppliers have now adopted science-based climate targets. Our target to 2025 is to encourage 70% to do so, thereby reducing the climate impact in our value chain. 💚 We started gearing up for the next generation targets. Aiming for a net-zero climate impact, we focus on reducing the environmental footprint of products at every step throughout the value chain. – The climate crisis is challenging our world and we need to take urgent action to lower our dependency of nature’s scarce resources.
