If you have more than one offer, you won’t scale.
7 days ago, Dwayne Clarke and I attended Clay Atlanta.
What an eye-opener it was to meet guys like Alex Fine🌲 and David Dollar who are way ahead of us in their careers. In fact, so humbling that we decided to scrap everything else and focus solely on AI-based Cold Outbound using Clay.
We were trying to do too much because we were afraid. eCommerce, Lead Gen, Creative Agency…In the early stages of business there’s always the FOMO.
“But if I offer more services, it should bring us more business, right?”
Wrong, most of the time.
When you spread out your intellectual and human resources, you end up becoming mediocre at everything.
Dwayne and I focused only on serving our 3PL Client All Points for the last 6 months, which gave us a deep understanding of the Logistics industry.
The result? We beat the industry average every time in a demand capture market like logistics.
Pick one thing, and get really good at it. Don’t waver.

Live from Clay Atlanta!
Really awesome event. It was a special feeling being recognized immediately by Dwayne Clarke upon arrival. He came all the way from Toronto and came right up to me and had some very kind words about Understory and the content we put out.
It means the world to me knowing that Ali and I have built a globally recognized brand in the space. Honestly, it's one of the proudest accomplishments of my life.
Dwayne is super sharp, and has nothing but greatness in his future. Given that he's only 20 years old, I wouldn't be surprised to see big things from him in the future.
Here he is explaining how he connects n8n and various webhooks to Clay to a bunch of normies.
Legend in the making. Thank you for making my night Dwayne.
The LinkedIn video tab has arrived on my app.
Wow, game changer.
I did find myself scrolling down unimpressed by the content. Abit samey and nothing really stood out. Was I bit more critical as I was in scroll mode? Did I feel I was on Instagram or Facebook. Remember you have barely 3 seconds to engage someone on video scroll.
Which made me think! BIG opportunity for companies and candidates to stand out and shine. SME’s, startup and scale up’s this is your chance to get your brand and culture out there to attract the best talent and business! Get known.
CEO & Founders start using this as go to platform to share your passsion and values on what inspired you to create this business.
Candidates this is your time. Give potential employers a glimpse of who you are behind that profile and what sets you apart.
I definitely think as an SME, startup or scaleup if you have not, it’s time to really think what your employer brand strategy is, engage employee advocacy and get that culture out there. Build your followers, be more human and make it fun and engaging.
I do love what Ryan Reynolds has done so seamlessly so added for a little inspiration on how to be different and more engaging! No pressure!

It felt like Rob’s birthday was today but apparently it’s tomorrow? I am posting now because it’s April 14th in Wrexham and I’ll bet people are still up!
Happy Birthday, Rob McElhenney!

From Funnyman to Brand Icon.
Alright, let's talk about Ryan Reynolds. We all know him as the hilarious Deadpool, but I want to delve deeper. This guy's a branding ninja in disguise!
Here's why, Ryan Reynolds is a storytelling masterclass for any brand looking to break through the noise:
👾He Hacks Authenticity:
Forget celebrity endorsements. Ryan pokes fun at himself, his movies, even his own damn commercials. This kind of self-aware humor disrupts the usual inauthentic marketing BS and builds real connections.
🗡️Social Media Samurai:
His Twitter? A masterclass in engagement. Witty banter, unexpected turns, and playful jabs at his "frenemy" Hugh Jackman? Pure gold. Keeps everyone glued to the screen, wondering what he'll do next.
📜Storytelling Through Action:
Remember when he bought Aviation Gin and turned it into a pop culture phenomenon? Actions speak louder than ads, people. Ryan understands the power of weaving narratives around his brands.
🍇 Community, Not Consumers:
He doesn't just talk AT you. He interacts with fans, celebrates their creativity, makes them feel like part of something bigger. Remember the Mint Mobile year in review video entirely made by fans? Genius.
My Branding Takeaways:
😂 Self-Deprecation is Your Secret Weapon:
Don't be afraid to show your human side!
A little humor can disarm your audience and make them receptive to your message.
🗣️ Become a Storyteller, Not a Shouter:
Move beyond product features. Tell engaging stories that resonate with your audience on an emotional level.
💕 Turn Fans into Family:
Social media isn't a one-way street. Foster conversations, celebrate your fans, and make them feel valued. They'll become your biggest advocates.
Ryan Reynolds is more than just a pretty face (and let's be honest, the man's undeniably good-looking). He's a branding master who gets the power of storytelling. So, tell me in the comments below – what are YOU doing to make your brand story stand out?

The best leaders lead with love. They are kind and care for their teams, and will always look to put them in the best situations to succeed. They don't lead through fear, and they certainly don't take a "my way or the highway" approach. They will listen, and share why what they are doing is best for the team’s growth – even if it is a tough or unpopular decision.
The way Dan Campbell speaks to his team here, you can tell that he is a coach who LOVES his team. It should be no surprise that he's gotten his team to buy into what he's building.

How can you not LOVE Dan Campbell?
This is from 2 years ago and his plan for the Detroit Lions has them on the brink of the Super Bowl. He cares about his guys soooo much, they bought into his vision and made it their identity.
What is your "I'm going to cut down the nets" dream?
Jimmy Valvano's dream in 1980: "I'm going to win a national championship and cut the nets down".
The team visualized and practiced achieving the dream by cutting the nets down. He painted the picture for them:
"If I can get you to see what I'm seeing, to dream what I'm dreaming, we can win it."
At first it was awkward, and year 1 didn't end well. It took 3 years of ups and downs before the manifestation of his vision in one of the greatest upsets ever.
Do you think NC State wins it all in 1983 without Jimmy V's clear vision and belief he instilled in his team?
Have you visualized your dream?
Imagined the time and place it will happen?
The challenges you'll have to overcome?
The behaviors you'll have to exude?
The feeling you'll have when it's accomplished?
Paint your picture. Make your dream tangible and explainable in detail.
Start April with 2 minutes of inspiration from Jimmy V:
Excited to share the vibrant highlights from last month's Multi-Chamber Mixer at Musket Ridge, where businesses from the Maryland Black Chamber, Maryland Hispanic Chamber, Frederick Hispanic Chamber, and Washington County Chamber came together!
Thank you to the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce for having us capture this amazing event!
