"Under pressure, they didn't just catch the ball—they caught the #T20WorldCup." Yesterday, #india made history by defeating South Africa to win the ICC World Cup Trophy. This win is more than just a sports victory; it teaches us valuable life lessons. - Resilience: The journey was tough, but the team never gave up. The partnership between Kohli and Axar Patel showed us that overcoming obstacles is key to achieving our goals. - Preparation: Success comes from being well-prepared. Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and the team's hard work and planning paid off when it mattered most. - Mental Toughness: Staying calm and focused is crucial. Despite early setbacks, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya remained composed and confident, showing the power of mental strength. Suryakumar Yadav's incredible catch in a critical moment was a true superhero move. This victory is a reminder that with teamwork, preparation, and resilience, we can achieve anything. 10 things this World Cup teaches me: 1. Class is permanent, even if it doesn’t work for a few times.. Peaks at the right time - Virat Kohli 2. When a leader leads from the front, and if fails once in a while - entire team comes together to cover up - Rohit Sharma 3. It’s not over till you think it’s over-India team even after SA needed 30 off 30 4. You can bounce back from the lowest unimaginable lows (even if the entire world is against you) - Hardik Pandya 5. Hardwork and Humility pays off - even if it hasn’t for decades - Rahul Dravid 6. Consistency pays off eventually-Jasprit Bumrah 7. There is a point in life which comes for most people from where getting up/getting back seems impossible.. sheer will and determination gets you back - Rishab Pant 8. Losses at a big stage are possible, important is the comeback - India team after t50 World Cup to winning the t20 World Cup 9. Nothing is above team work, ultimately every single individuals contribution matters - India Team (everyone contributed in their own way at some point in the tournament) 10. At times the smallest contribution can be the biggest in the game (even of life) - Surya’s catch 🏆 🏟 🎉👍😊 #TeamIndia #CricketWorldCup #BleedBlue #IndianCricket #WorldCupChampions #CricketFever #IndiaWins #CricketMania #ChakDeIndia #WorldCup2023

🎾Life is like a game of Cricket where one ball can change the course of an entire match …. 🔓Here’s what stuck with me the most : 🏅The Pitch of Persistence: Perseverance is key to overcoming challenges. 🏅Adaptability is the Yorker: Ability to oadapt; strategize; and adjust our approach based on situations. 🏅Teamwork - Collaboration,Communication , and Connection are critical success factors . 🏅Celebrate the Sixes (Wins) and Learn from the Wickets (Losses):Every experience, positive or negative, holds a lesson. Embrace victories and learn from setbacks to become a better professional. 🏅Eye on the Prize (Goal): Not getting distracted by the scoreboard (competition). Focusing on the goal , being conscious of the present moment, and give the best shot. #CricketLifeLessons #ProfessionalDevelopment #T20WorldCupInspired

Another huge signing for the Class of 2024 NJ/NY Gotham FC squad. With this announcement and the signing of USWNT champion Crystal Dunn last week (just in time to drop the NYE ball in Times Square with her new teammates) it had me wondering, will there start to be a power vacuum in the NWSL? Will we start to see an imbalance in the league? Davidson and Dunn join an already star studded Gotham FC with the likes of Margaret (Midge) Purce, Lynn Williams, Kelly O'Hara and more, and coming off their 2023 NWSL championship, will this be a recipe for sustained, continued success at the top? In Gotham's case the success to date is new, with a complete 180 from their 2022 season where they finished dead last, only to come back a year later to win the league. And while they will lose Ali Krieger (to retirement) and Kristie Mewis (to a transfer to West Ham FC), I feel like this may be the beginnings of a Yankees or a Kansas City Chiefs. Which then begs the question - are we ok with there being a competitive imbalance at the pro level? When I was working in operations for youth sports clubs competitive balance was always a concern for us. We didn't want teams playing up to only get beat 15-0, and we worked hard to balance out divisions as much as we could. However, as the teams got in higher and higher levels it became less of a concern. Somes teams were just outright better and dominating, and they were rewarded for it in better recruiting and championships. And once you reach a paid level of competition, better teams get more sponsorship dollars, more fans, better players, which lead to higher payrolls, better facilities and the like. (If we need an example of how that works, look at the Carolina Panthers $8 tickets this season) So as a fan and one who wants to see the continued success of the NWSL and all teams, should we be trying to spread the players out more? Do we think a power vacuum will be formed? Or are all the players of a similar enough quality, that it's more the teamwork and coaching that leads to sustained success? Thoughts? #nwsl #gothamfc #womenssports #womenssoccer #competitivebalance #youthsports #justwomenssports #thegist
