🥳📄 We’re thrilled to announce that the first edition of the IPDC report is out now! The report was presented by the Dutch Government’s Special Envoy for Water, Meike van Ginneken, during the 10th World Water Forum in Bali. The report introduces the IPDC Guidance Framework for member countries and sets out the challenges faced by deltas, coasts, and islands. It offers a unified approach to discussing climate adaptation. The report also serves as a starting point for the discussion between IPDC member countries, including best practices and common enablers and barriers to implementing climate adaptation. The IPDC was launched during the #UN2023WaterConference. One year on, and we’ve made some real progress. But the work is only just beginning – that’s why the report also provides a solid base for future IPDC activities. On November 13, 2023, at the BECC Conference held in Sacramento, California, Aelita Skarzauskiene from VILNIUS TECH - Vilnius Gediminas Technical University explained why #ClimateAssemblies can be a tool for citizen involvement in addressing #ClimateChange. ⛈ It is critical to actively engage citizens to address climate change.  The European Commission has published a technical report on the adaptation of the building stock to climate change divided into two guides.
