March is Brain Injury Awareness Month! According to the Brain Injury Association of America, this month is a dedicated period for recognizing and raising awareness about the spectrum of brain injuries, from mild concussions to more severe traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Last month, Celine provided a training to a group of 69 community members. The training focused on TBI, a topic that was unfamiliar to the majority of the participants. Discussions regarding TBIs facilitate advancements in injury prevention, address the difficulties encountered by survivors, and explore the various treatment options available. #TBB #PropellingPotential #AdultDisability #Interdisciplinary #SpeechTherapy #SpeechLanguagePathologist #Physiotherapy #OccupationalTherapy #PT #SLP #OT #Rehab #Rehabilitation #Therapy #RehabilitationTherapy #TBI #TraumaticBrainInjury #Train #Training #Trainer

This #OpenAccess study by The Hopkins Centre researchers Tamara Ownsworth and Jessie Mitchell, along with clinician-researchers Kerrin Watter, Annerley Bates, Areti Kennedy, Belinda Adams OAM and Troy Hakala aimed to answer these questions. https://lnkd.in/gZRYUuig #DisabilityResearch #RehabilitationResearch
