Happy International Nurses Day 👨⚕️ 👩⚕️ This Sunday it’s International Nurses Day and as well as any other day, it is crucial to recognise and appreciate the tireless dedication and invaluable contributions to healthcare our nurses provide. Despite being the backbone of healthcare provision, nurses often face financial constraints and their role is frequently undervalued. Beyond their essential role in patient care, nurses serve as advocates, educators, and caregivers, often under challenging circumstances. This International Nurses Day, let's not only celebrate their hard work and commitment but also advocate for better support, resources, and recognition for these frontline heroes. #moonhub #internationalnursesday #nurses #healthcare

Study Reveals How Health & Safety and Employee Stress Are Related With Stress Awareness Month coming to an end, it is still vital to address the critical importance of addressing workplace stress and promoting employee wellbeing. Many employers don’t necessarily see the link between stress management and health & safety—with health & safety usually being seen to deal with the physical aspects of health. However, a study reveals how 1.8 million workers were thought to have suffered from work-related ill-health in the year 2022/23. Around half of those workers were suffering from work-related stress, anxiety, or depression, emphasising what a detrimental impact it can have on the workforce. All organisations need to have a framework in place to ensure that they can adequately manage and minimise work-related stress. It can be hard to know where to start, but implementing workplace well-being training in the workplace will help outline the support available to employees as well as provide employees with tools and techniques to help improve their well-being. MOONHUB’s Workplace Well-being is co-curated with @Carmanah MacKenzie, well-being & Performance coach and consultant. Training is split into 9 key topics, where employees are immersed into the realities of common stressors at home and in the workplace and offer detailed solutions to make small steps towards a powerful life. Some topics include: Habit formation, Well-being considerations at work, Setting Boundaries and Meditation Sessions. Training to Help People See New Perspectives It’s more important than ever for businesses to address diversity and inclusion (D&I) in their workplaces. Aside from it being the morally right thing to do, there are growing commercial and legal imperatives. According to in-depth research by McKinsey, companies with the most gender-diverse executive teams were 21% more likely to be more profitable than competitors and 27% more likely to outperform competitors on the returns they make on their investments. A crucial part of helping individuals understand how they can encourage D&I in their organisation is to use learning that combats personal implicit or explicit prejudice. Cognitive and emotional training is one way of doing this. It includes conversation, sharing stories and “perspective taking” should help people imagine “walking in someone else’s shoes”. MOONHUB D&I training uses VR to simulate scenarios, offering a window into the human experience and a safe space to have high-risk conversations and help with inappropriate behaviour while ensuring a positive work environment. Topics include: Unconscious bias, Micro-aggression, Harassment and Onboarding. Want to know more? VR Revolutionises Workplace Training 🚀 VR is well known for teaching hard skills and offering realistic simulations, such as for airplane pilots or equipment maintenance. With the rise of the metaverse, VR is also growing more common. The PwC 2022 US Metaverse Survey found that 51% of companies are either in the process of integrating VR into strategy, or have already built VR into at least one dedicated line of business. 34% say that one of the biggest metaverse benefits they currently enjoy or foresee is “a more effective way to develop and train our people.” "The attention spans are not the same as they were a decade ago and even longer. Now, we want information quickly, and we want to be able to see things versus just reading it." Mike Wynn Staff learning via VR learn four times faster than if they are in a classroom, according to a study last year by PWC. The report also found that employees were 1.5 times more focused in VR classes. "We've relied on the very same traditional methods of training for the longest of times, but people have changed, and the way that they absorb and digest information has most certainly changed," Mike Wynn Enquire here: https://lnkd.in/eNJHn8HM #moonhub #vr #vrtraining #businesstraining Study: https://lnkd.in/dCPfu-G Survey: https://lnkd.in/dgM8Z5tU Read the article: https://lnkd.in/et32EMaN
