On the way to more sustainability: KIRCHHOFF Automotive and the Swedish company H2Green Steel have signed a 7-year contract worth 130 million euros for the supply of near zero emissions steel. "Our customers want products with a lower carbon footprint. This is in line with our ambition to be at the forefront of sustainable development in the industry," says Michael Rank, Global EVP Procurement. 90% of the CO2 footprint is currently determined by the use of conventionally produced steel and aluminum. Due to orders from international car manufacturers for future vehicle generations, KIRCHHOFF Automotive assumes that the demand for safe and sustainable body components will increase significantly in the coming years. The agreement that has now been concluded provides for green steel from the H2 Green Steel plant in Boden/Sweden to be supplied to KIRCHHOFF Automotive plants throughout Europe from 2027. The two companies will also work together as part of a circular economy initiative with the aim of returning at least 30% of steel scrap to H2 Green Steel's electric arc furnaces in Boden for recycling. #kirchhoffautomotive #makingmobilitysafe #sustainability #greensteel

Heidelberg Materials has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire ACE Group, the largest supplier of pulverised #flyash in #Malaysia The #transaction is part of Heidelberg Materials’ ambitious #decarbonisation strategy and will contribute to significantly lowering the company’s CO₂ footprint in Southeast #Asia. ACE Group comprises three entities operating across the value chain: ACE GREENCEMT VENTURE, a leading supplier of pulverised fly ash to the Malaysian construction industry; ASAS Asia, a processor of coal ashes; and AGP Logistics Software, a logistics service company operating 20 silo trucks. Renewi announced its Half Year Results for the six months ended 30 September 2023. Revenue remains stable at €937m, supported by strong pricing as well as the ongoing strong performance by our Coolrec and Maltha businesses. Our CEO Otto De Bont: “Our first half performance was in line with our expectations and previous guidance from October. The period saw recyclate prices reverting to more normalised levels and volumes mostly stabilised, except in Construction and Demolition waste in the Netherlands.
