After World War II, #billions of dollars in #defense funding transformed California into a land of #aerospace and #technology boomtowns. But as Luckey sees it, the #relationship splintered after the Cold War. Engineers dazzled by the prospect of #stockmarket riches ditched dour #government jobs for shiny tech firms with free snacks and Ping-Pong. "This muscle we used to have as a country of turning small, innovative defense companies into large-scale providers of weapons—we lost it," Luckey said. As a result, the defense industry has become increasingly dominated by a handful of “primes,” including Boeing and Lockheed Martin. To Luckey, it’s an oligopoly in which new ideas are thwarted by layers of #bureaucracy, leaving US defense capabilities to suffer as a result. "Some of the US technology is very bad," he says. "It’s also extremely expensive and not necessarily adapted to the types of conflicts we’re going to see in the future. The US has a lot of investment in legacy weapons systems that are not necessarily having China quaking in their boots." Breaking through that bureaucracy and getting the Pentagon to pay attention has been a challenge, Luckey says, and his controversial reputation likely hasn’t done him any favors. On this episode of The Circuit, Luckey shows off his personal #warship (a purchase from the #USNavy), an Autopia car from the classic #Disneyland ride and floor-to-ceiling fish tanks at home in Newport Beach, California. Beginning with the successful contract bid in June 1946, the B-52 "Stratofortress" moniker is rarely used; informally, this aircraft is more commonly referred to as simply the "BUFF" (Big Ugly Fat F____ (...Fella). The B-52A first flew in 1954. A total of 744 B-52s were built, with the last, a B-52H, delivered in October 1962. It's sixty-two years old today.... thank you MAINTENANCE! During Desert Storm, B-52s delivered 40 percent of all the weapons dropped by coalition forces. Today, Pilots wear night vision goggles to enhance their vision during night operations. The longest distance flown for a combat mission involving a 34-hour, 16,000-statute-mile round trip from Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. The Air Force currently expects to operate B-52s through 2050. It is unparalleled in All of Aviation, and is on track to become the first and potentially Ever(!), Centurion. A lot of interesting info in the latest Weaponized episode with George Knapp and Jeremy Corbell. Agree that Sean Kirkpatrick ran AARO as a counterintel operation to find who was leaking UFO info, and neutralizing them. Also agree that by declassifying docs about a Prospective SAP called Kona Blue that never took off, and associating it with the retrieved UFO & reverse engineering claims of some whistleblowers, AARO was conducting yet another counterintel operation/clever propaganda. Knapp points out that Lockheed Martin/Skunk Works possessed crashed UFO material and offered it to the Bigelow Aerospace for study but Lockheed was prevented from releasing the material. Disagree with Knapp that Lockheed has been unsuccessful with its reverse engineering efforts of retrieved UFOs. Former Skunkworks CEO, Ben Rich, revealed the truth before his death. Knapp also pointed out that Bigelow Aerospace had also done a medical study of 100 military personal that got injured for getting too close to UFOs. Agree with Knapp that consciousness is the answer. Simon asks the correct question… We see three enormously powerful and wealthy politicians…who have small greedy corrupt intellects who have gamed the political system for their own personal advantage at every stage of their life long political careers. It’s all about them not America or the American people. We see much the same with President Trump and the vast majority of politicians who have gamed their particular system of expertise for self-serving enrichment…and risen to the most powerful and influential position of power in the world. Where are the Statesmen? American is calling for a true leader.
