Unsustainable transportation infrastructure especially impacts communities of color and low-income neighborhoods. Chicago-based racial equity organization Equiticity is advancing #climatejustice and #mobilityequity by seeking out local investments that will remove barriers to cleaner transportation options and healthier communities. Their partnership with the #GreenliningTheBlock initiative uplifts the leadership and expertise of #BIPOC communities as they prepare for and maximize federal, state, and local infrastructure investments to drive effective #climateaction projects that meet community needs, like their vision for a GoHub. Take action to tackle systemic barriers to opportunity by visiting greenliningtheblock.org.

What does a sustainable community look like? This is a question that has many different answers depending on a variety of different variables such as age, ethnicity or class; among many other. I have been thinking about this question a lot recently due to my work and life changes (I am a new dad). I want communities to prosper and I want my daughter to grow up in a community that she is safe and able to flourish in. Every answer is right, so the question is 'What does a sustainable community look like to you?' https://lnkd.in/empCe_bJ

Our Core Values Accountability– We believe that all of us should maintain an air of accountability in all that we do and encourage those we reach to remain accountable in their own lives by spreading stories and reminding one another to not drive impaired. Resilience – We believe in resilience as a driving factor of change towards our mission. It takes resilience to continue to tell the story of the most tragic moment in many of our lives, but by creating a safe community we can continue to support each other in changing society’s views on driving impaired. Community – We believe community is the first step in building societal change. We work to build community and family and embrace one another through outreach and sharing our story, engaging one another in acts of service in memory of Ally.
