The increasing delay in delivering effective aid to the children and innocent is too costly to continue. Air drops on scale must be undertaken now. It’s fully accepted that this is the most inefficient and unjust way of delivering aid, however it must be done. The only way to really help is to take full control of the area and provide the international security and distribution of aid based on needs alone. None of this can occur while occupation forces continue to target anyone and all. Intervention on the ground is needed now. It’s easy to think of us as afflicted, but we are not. There are some that have lost their way and they do not represent us, only their own insanity. However our failure to prevent and more importantly halt their corrupted madness, raises serious questions for us all. The illusion of freedom and democracy has been shattered in the most shocking and shameful way. We falsely believed that our voice had some weight, yet we are still fighting to be heard. End this madness now, for all our sakes. We will be defined, not by their murder and madness but what we create from it. No longer can we exist with the imbalances that create so much conflict between us. We are better than this. To create the world of justice and liberation we now all seek, we must first remove the self supported shackles on ourselves to see our full potential. SOS Children's Villages International calls on all parties to the conflict to respect International Humanitarian Law as well as International Human Rights Laws, especially those relevant to children. The violence must end, and civilians, especially children, must be protected.  We demand immediate and safe humanitarian access to ensure that civilians, especially children, can be evacuated to safe places. Shelters and civilian infrastructure must be respected and protected from any attack. Yesterday, Save the Children’s Young Peacemakers Assembly went to Downing Street with a question for Rishi Sunak: how many more children must die before you take action? The group of 14-18 year olds, who are campaigning for a better world for children affected by conflict, wrote an open letter which more than 58,000 of you signed, calling on the UK Government to do everything in its power to end the nightmare for children in Gaza.  The UK Government must urgently: ️➡️ Publicly support an immediate, definitive ceasefire. ➡️ Use their diplomatic power to end the Government of Israel’s siege and denial of humanitarian aid into Gaza. ➡️ Halt the transfer of weapons, including parts for weapons, to the Government of Israel given the clear risk that they might be being used to commit serious violations of international humanitarian and human rights law in Gaza. Flo/ur Mass/acre: Isr/aeli troops fire on crowd seeking food from aid convoy, kil/ling more than 100 Pal/estinians and wounding hundreds. And that is, after deliberately star/ving them. Inhumane. There are no words powerful enough to describe the evilness of the Western-backed Is/raeli powers and forces. The Isra/eli nation will forever be tainted by these horrible actions. I hope we see more Isr/aelis like Tal Mitnick, Sofia Orr and Yuval Abraham, rise to denounce their leaders’ barbarity. And I hope their anti-zio/nist resistance comes through the filters of media outlets. Because what we’re seeing now is not a good look on the Is/raeli nation and its zio/nist "diaspora": 🫒 Trying to discredit serious accounts of violence, like that of the Fl/our Mass/acre; 🫒 Physically blocking trucks delivering aid; 🫒 Going on a hike to watch over the cities being destroyed, as if this were an alternative to drive-in-theatres; 🫒 Cheering on soldiers humiliating and ki/lling Palesti/nians; 🫒 Insisting on spreading lies, like the one about the *non-existent* beh/eaded babies; 🫒 Sharing architectural plans to build beach houses on the ruins of the Occu/pied Pale/stine; 🫒 Throwing the words "antisemitism" and "blood libel" at ANY criticism directed at the lawless and rogue entity known as Is/rael. The pro-Palesti/nian discourse has been very considerate of Isr/aelis in dissociating the state from its people. The people who support Pales/tine have seen too many times entire groups being targeted for the misdeeds of a few. Some have been on the receiving end of this, so they know better than to generalize. But there’s no denying that we see a lot of ugliness and hate coming from what *seems* to be a majority of Isr/aelis (news can be misleading on that front). This is all very disturbing and needs to be addressed. How can so many people support the indiscriminate kil/ling of innocent humans? Accountability is needed all around and we need to look at the roots and consequences of excessive nationalism. Why so much hate?
