It’s a wrap! 🎉 We just finished our Global Innovation Challenge 2024 with a bang in Amsterdam. This year's theme ‘Innovation Validation,” emphasized the importance of ensuring our innovations address real customer problems. Our process begins with a simple yet powerful idea, often sparked by customer interactions, technological shifts, or new material developments. This begins a process of diligent experimentation and discovery, refining our solutions to meet real-world demands. During the Challenge, 8 teams participated in a four-week Validation Sprint, connecting with customers to test their assumptions and refine their value propositions. The event was a dynamic blend of innovation, collaboration, and deep learning from customer feedback. 🌍 At ERIKS, we believe that innovation is more than just a buzzword – it’s our way of ensuring a sustainable and efficient future. On April 22nd, we were thrilled to attend the AMI Stretch and Shrink Film 2024 event hosted by AMI. One of the highlights was our visit to ITENE and their impressive laboratories. 🧪 🚚 Specifically, our visit to the Transport Simulation Laboratory highlighted the significant benefits of using transport simulation machines. While the fundamental purpose of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging is comprehensive product protection, it can occasionally fall short. As a summary of the interview I conducted with INNOVATION Magazine, I can highlight the following points that I believe are crucial to the success of my company SaarGummi Neo: - it is not a problem per se to use #corporateinnovation in a company, but rather how to support the organization in its implementation - especially in a traditional working environment, it is important not to lose sight of the goal and to believe in the success of the idea - innovations must fit into the company‘s strategy and take long-term changes in (mega) trends into account - new technologies offer huge potential for traditional manufacturing industries, especially in the examples mentioned in the areas of #digitalization, #sustainability and #additivemanufacturing.
