The Independent Engineer | On a mission to help people deepen their expertise in power systems and industrial automation. Follow to learn with me.
Field > office > work from home. In terms of how fast you can gain experience, I would say these are at least an order of magnitude apart from each other.
The best Controls Engineers are the ones who spend a lot of time in the field. If you are inexperienced, get out in the field as much as possible. It's dirty, hard, and uncomfortable but it's the best thing for you. Don't waste your time sitting behind a desk.
