So it's the first time I can do in the last three years that I am able to meet other people that do what I do. So there are other conferences that are more like digital marketing or social marketing, but this is the first time where I can meet people that do exactly the same job that I do, that we can talk about geek a little bit, maybe talk about more nerdy stuff. But we are still pretty good at looking at the full picture. And it's just, I've been a great opportunity to meet people both from vendors and other clients like myself that do similar jobs, that compare ideas, share some thoughts. So it's been, it's been a wonderful opportunity. I've enjoyed the one about the Streisand effect and how to react to data in times of crisis or what could be crisis. And I think the reason I enjoyed it was really because it ended up with a big discussion where people could share how they feel. Talk and kind of ask the person questions and it became really interactive. First of all, I come to connect with the insights community. Many of us kind of work in silos or or teams where we don't often get to interact with the people who are passionate about the same subject. So it's a great opportunity to connect with peers, network, learn new things, really just to learn from all the experts in the industry. We both me and Crash. It's a big part of. Focus at work at Samsung and really it was just, you know, wanted to take the day out to come and listen to. Some of the key people in the in the industry, yeah, it's been, it's been good. Well, I attended last year when it was all online, it was great. And this year it was in person, so it's even better. So last year we had great, now we have better. It's a great event because the few of us that are pushing for social intelligence. We get to meet together, see each other and exchange notes, ideas and see where the industry is heading and pretty much borrow from the best practices in the best people in the industry. I think it's just reassuring that other industry peers are doing similar things and you know, some of the practices, some of the methodologies, it's just interesting to hear that you're going in the right direction yourself. So I think it's always reassuring and just hearing other things that we could be exploring as a business at Samsung as well. Yeah, loads of inspiration and there's loads of things that we're gonna go away and try ourselves as well. So let's see what happens. So it's just a really good place to meet a lot of people that are in the same profession and it's people that are all working within a very niche area. And I think it's the networking, like the the chats are fantastic and you do get a lot out of that and you see, you know, a lot of things that you wouldn't have seen. There's a lot of industry leading thought here and it's just a fantastic place to interact with people that are on a very similar. I think probably the session around AI and the impacts of AI. It's a massive buzzword. There's a lot of fluff and a lot of the same content being talked about. But I think tying that back to what we do in our segment of the industry is really interesting and a real potential opportunity. I think the the questions on that session sort of spot on. It's not a replacement for what we do. I don't think it ever will be. But I think there's a huge amount of efficiency that can be gained through the processes available. And I think more ways that we can start to cut and analyze the data and then potentially as the sort of. Illnesses get bigger, like how can we use AI to do a lot of the connecting jobs that are currently quite manual? So I think quite an interesting sort of poster for the future and almost a mirror. And to build on it. I think also it's it's great that it's a social first kind of event where you've got other peers in your area that you can bounce ideas off of and meet, meet some great people and exchange some. How's everyone doing? Well, frankly, because I've been working in this space for I guess 1215 years maybe. So I'm, I'm one of the dinosaurs. Well, I've, I've digital and social listening, but I can't really remember a good conference where, you know, this industry would get together and really sort of have a meaningful conversation. So this is really a great opportunity to see a lot of people I haven't seen in years, frankly, also get up to speed on some of what the the vendors are doing and just, you know, the networking is just as interesting as the conferences. So that alone is, is, is worthwhile coming.

Happy holidays! Just before we wave off 2023, we want to take a moment to look back at what an amazing year it has been for the SI Lab and our ever-growing community. We welcomed the new class of the Social Intelligence Insider 50. Well done to all our amazing winners, it is a joy to work with you all and track your career progress! We can’t wait to reveal the list of winners for 2024 (nominations open until 7th Jan 2024) – will there be some familiar faces on the list? After years of Covid-induced online events, we were thrilled to break things up with our first-ever in-person event, Observe Summit. We welcomed 210 people to 30 Euston Square, London where we explored the hidden forces that are driving behavioural change and how to apply the insights for strategic campaigns and products. We'll be hitting Chicago in 2024 - keep your eyes peeled for tickets 👀 There was a full programme of webinars from TikTok, to building SI functions, to cultural insights, product launches, and more - a huge thank you to everyone involved! Tech Demo Day happened and truly launched Gen AI into social listening. Over 200 of you took part in the State of Social Listening where we got to clearly see different mindsets to social listening! And if that wasn’t enough, we crowned the first two winners in the Social Listening Query Writing Competition, Natália Leão, and Raymond Lematta. We certified more people in the Social Intelligence Growth Certification, and have 9 more on their way to becoming a certified social intelligence professional. Phew, what a year! Thank you to everyone involved in our activities, sharing your knowledge, and bringing the fun - and to everyone who showed up and joined in - you're all awesome!
