James 1:2-3 GNT My friends, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. Count it all joy when you face a challenge Royal, be calm in that situation as you grow in the ability to endure and focus your attention on your promotion. All things work together for your good. #YouAreMakingProgress A challenge is a sign that you are making things happen, don't lose focus, and don't panic. Don't let the challenge control you instead be in control of the situation, let go, and prepare yourself for your promotion ahead. #CheerUp Count it all Joy, your promotion has come! The earliest recorded festivities in honor of a new year's arrival date back some 4,000 years to ancient Babylon. For the Babylonians, the first new moon following the vernal equinox—the day in late March with an equal amount of sunlight and darkness—heralded the start of a new year. The early Roman calendar consisted of 10 months and 304 days, with each new year beginning at the vernal equinox. According to tradition, it was created by Romulus, the founder of Rome in the eight-century B.C. In 46 B.C, Julius Caesar instituted January 1 as the first day of year, because over the centuries, the calendar fell out of sync with the sun, and to partly honor the month's namesake: Janus, the two-faced Roman god of beginnings. New Year's resolutions also date back to 2000 B.C., with the Babylonians celebrating the New Year with one common resolution of returning borrowed farm equipment to start farming season, which coincided with the vernal equinox. According to recent research, as many as 45% of Americans say they make New Year's resolutions, while only 8% are successful in achieving their goals. How long will your resolutions last? Happy New Year to you and yours and good luck with making your resolutions. May they last longer than then the time it takes to create them.
