Netflix is making a massive shift in its workplace policies
off topic - just wish Netflix had better movie selections.
When the vast majority of managers are technically incompetent, leaving these sort of decisions in their hands is dicey. Given the manager incompetence in the states, literally having a lottery as to who will be the next manager would yield better results.

You definitely need processes, policies and procedures that govern you. It helps with your mission and outlines what you stand for. It also keeps you out of trouble.

Things that could go very wrong in a legal and lawsuit sense. They could be general…but not indicating violence and stealing etc is dumb. Unemployed from firing would be easy to fight and defining what it means to be an adult leaves way too much room, way too much room for defining it the way that it suits the individul
Tough one. I love Netflix and their approach No Rules Rules is one of my favorite books. I do think at their scale however some processes are helpful.

Not a Netflix fan. Their movie selection is a lot like the $1.00 movie bin at Walmart or Target… occasionally a good find, but for the most part trash.
