I love working with inspiring people.
Working with brilliant people generates a real positive can-do energy.
Esme is an inspiring person!
This isn't the first edit of this video.
The first edit used multiple camera angles, pulled in when Esme was making points and used many of the techniques you would tend to see in a TV news presentation.
The reason TV is presented in this way is because it has to compete for its audience engagement. If you are mindful you will rarely see a shot of someone on TV uninterrupted for more than 10 seconds, often 5.
The problem with all this cutting is, it can feel a little jostling, especially if the cameras used were of differing quality... more so if you are presenting to an audience who might suffer from conditions such as photosensitive epilepsy or visual stress.
Lisa Alberti suggested a re-edit and reminded me of the idea of using an alternative version of subtitles.
I think it works a lot better.
Happy International Museums day.
If you can, I always recommend taking a visit.
