By submitting a formal comment to the DEA, we underscore the urgent need for evidence-based regulations that enhance scientific research, alleviate financial burdens on businesses, and promote industry equity. The reclassification to Schedule III would remove barriers to rigorous research and provide financial relief by eliminating Section 280E constraints. With the iconic Macy’s fireworks returning to the Hudson River for the first time in over a decade, Marino client Pier 57 invited the public to experience the spectacular show at its rooftop park which sprawls nearly two acres with panoramic views of Hudson River Park, the Lower Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor. Marino leveraged the exciting moment to showcase Pier 57 and its rooftop park as one the best places to view the fireworks and secured coverage across key national and local media outlets including PureWow, New York Post, MSN.com, Time Out, Secret NYC and others. Thousands of visitors came together to take in the stunning views, enjoy bites from Pier 57’s food hall Market 57 and listen to live DJ sets. From free community spaces and a food hall with a focus on women-and BIPOC-owned food concepts to a mission-centered showcase kitchen, Pier 57 offers visitors a waterfront experience filled with food, art, culture, nature, and more. Last night dispensary owners, brand founders, and professionals from across New York & New Jersey's cannabis industry came together for Marino's second CannaCollaborate event. Marino SVP & cannabis practice lead Jordan Isenstadt hosted conversations with dispensary owners and operators from across the region including Amanda Rositano from Nightjar Cannabis, Osbert Orduña from The Cannabis Place, Julio Casado from ANJA, and Anthony & Regina Bannister of The Plant in Yonkers. David Kushner, from Marino's digital team, participated on a panel moderated by Dutchie's Anne Forkutza, along with Dharsh Casinathen, CPA, Certified Ganjier of JoyLeaf, Liam O'Brien of Fernway, The Flower Agency's Harrison Rosenblum and Alfredo Angueira from CONBUD NY about marketing cannabis, and shared his insights on how cannabis brands can effectively partner with influencers to reach new audiences while staying compliant with regulations.
