Can you spot the guy singing backup vocals during Luke Bryan’s 2013 CMA performance of Drink a Beer? If you think you know, drop a comment. Why was someone with such incredible talent singing backup for a song they wrote? That’s when the words from the song hit me: “Sometimes a greater plan is kinda hard to understand.” A few years ago, I came across this performance during one of the hardest times in my life. I had just lost my best friend to cancer, was fighting to get sober, and felt completely stuck. Watching that video changed something for me. Here was one of the biggest stars finding his light. Just like stars, sometimes our light takes time to reach the world. We’ve all been there—working hard, doing everything right, and still not seeing the results. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: Effort compounds Diamonds are formed by pressure over time. Not every season is about the harvest. Sometimes, we’re planting seeds for something to grow. If you feel like you’re putting in the effort but not seeing the results, don’t get discouraged. There’s no such thing as an overnight success. You can’t always control the results, but you can control your process. Effort is like stacked pages—each one brings you closer to finishing your story. 👉 Takeaway: Keep showing up.
