🧠💥 Important Study Alert: Traumatic Brain Injury Recovery Insights! 💥🧠 A recent study in the Journal of Neurotrauma reveals surprising findings about traumatic brain injury (TBI) recovery! 📚 - https://bit.ly/3yvVAuw Over 30% of TBI patients who did not undergo life-sustaining treatment regained some independence. 🌟 🚨 The study challenges assumptions about poor prognosis and withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment (WLST) for TBI patients. Meet Janine, For individuals or families navigating a brain injury diagnosis, what advice would you offer to help them along their recovery journey? Recovery from a brain injury is a process that is specific to each individual and it takes time. It does not always a occur in a straight line and everyone recovers differently. Brain injury can be an "invisible" diagnosis and sometimes others cannot see what your symptoms are, but that does not mean they are not real. It is important to be patient as you or your family member recovers and remember that improvements can occur for years after the original injury. Janine Brodovsky, SPT, DPT, is a Clinical Ladder V Director at MossRehab Institute for Brain Health. • Number of years in the specialty: 39 • Number of years at MRIBH: 1.5 #BrainInjuryAwarenessMonth
