✨ Appreciation: an underrated approach to leadership and management. Last Friday managers at Highspot were reminded and encouraged to show appreciation to their teams. Not because we need to be reminded, but it doesn't hurt to do it more often. Sometimes we get into the daily grind of it all and forget -- hey my team is awesome - I could not do it without them. Just like a text message to a friend, it only takes a moment to say, "thank you for your contribution on XYZ, it really helped us soar to new levels because ABC..." so on and so forth. Appreciation is a mindset. A change of behavior who aren't used to doing it as often. However it's one that can forge deeper relationships, better camaraderie across teams, and the best part...better results in the work we do. So a quick thank you to my boss Lucas Welch - who takes the time to do just that. He does this willingly, and with honesty and kindness. He values each team member whether they're a direct report or not. That is the type of leader I look forward to being each day - inside and outside the office. Cheers to more appreciation 👏
