"New Research Publication". I still remember my intense days of working with my UG research colleague Mohammad Nausad on our dissertation projects together, thoroughly analyzing data sets, and much more to draft a research paper. Finally, our recent work took a congruent shape & has been published in the prestigious journal of Process Biochemistry (Impact Factor: 4.4, cite score 7.9) with unprecedented support of international collaboration with UBFC - Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Another special thing is, this is my first collaborative research publication being in SAST GTU, Gujarat Technological University (GTU). The core & subtle findings in this work is the unique strain of 𝑺𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒚𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒆 which has lead to the sustainable and efficient extraction of oil from Apricot seed kernel. In this blog post from The Good Food Institute Europe, I take a deep dive into the world of COST Actions, an EU-funded initiative to build and boost scientific research networks and collaborations in the European Union and beyond. In a nascent field like alternative protein research, network building, and cross-discipline collaboration are key to kick-starting innovation and ensuring a dynamic ecosystem can grow and thrive. That makes research topics in plant-based, cultivated, and fermentation-made proteins ripe for this funding, but to date, very few Actions have been funded specifically focussing on alternative protein research questions. Want to know know texture analysis is developing the fascinating field of shape-changing foods? Recent research by scientists at the University of Queensland have used a Texture Analyser to subject various food samples to mechanical stress and observed their morphing capabilities, with the aim of exploring the mechanisms, strategies, and potential applications of shape morphing in food. They identified several mechanisms behind shape morphing, including swelling, gelatinisation, melting, and phase separation. As well as this, the researchers proposed strategies to control and enhance shape morphing in food products for future product development. This research holds immense potential for creating exciting new food experiences and addressing practical challenges in the food industry. Recommendation 🌍 I actively participate in lectures, webinars, and diverse outreach initiatives spanning both academic and industrial domains. However, it's a rare occurrence for me to feel as awakened as I did a month ago during the Novo Nordisk Foundation lecture, titled "Food for Thought - Planetary Boundaries and the Need for Agri-Food System Transformation." Fortunately, for those unable to attend, the recording is now accessible online here: https://lnkd.in/esTnKRvy Katherine Richardson and Tim Benton delivered synergistic and complementary insights in a captivating manner, emphasizing the systemic, global perspective on the planetary stage and boundaries, and highlighting the intricate interconnections within our food system. It was nothing short of horrifying (of course), but the presented helicopter perspective was not only enlightening but also left a lasting impact. 🌟 Exciting developments today in analytical chemistry at Analytical Solutions 2024! On May 28, MCT - MilieuChemie en Toxicologie hosted a vibrant forum for the analytical science community, bringing together experts and enthusiasts to explore the latest advancements. The event was called Analytical Solutions featured a dynamic trade fair and numerous lectures addressing key analytical challenges. Here some 🔬 Highlights: The opening Keynote was brought by Ron M.A. Heeren who unveiled innovative physical measurement methods (Mass Spectrometry Imaging - MSI) to map molecular distributions, with the utlimate goal advancing personalized medicine. Our MilieuChemTox (MCT) Session was highlighting two current hot-topics: PFAS and microplastics. First Elvio Amato (KWR Water Research Institute) and Bjorn Berendsen (Wageningen Food Safety Research) tackled the detection challenges of PFAS compounds, whiel also highlighting the importance of mutual collaboration. Next prof. Willie Peijnenburg provided insights into how microplastics enter the food chain and bioaccumulate in organisms. In the afternoon, we had three 🎓 PhD Presentations: Viktoriia Turkina (UvA): Analyzes and predicts toxicity from NTS data. Wilco Nijenhuis (VUA): Investigates human exposure to micro and nano plastics using Py-GC-MS. Michelle de Roo (WUR): Studies PFAS in soils, focusing on their interactions and speciation. At the plenary session, we celebrated awards 🏆 as Merel C. K. won the Coast Student Innovation Award for her work on microparticle analysis using Stimulated Raman, Fluorescence, and Deep UV techniques. Prof. Dr. Ir. Peter Schoenmakers' closing keynote emphasized the need for robust data in environmental studies and underscored the importance of good scientists in an ever-evolving field of analytical science. No Artificial Intelligence cannot replace well-trained analysts and scientists ... I am thrilled to share that my research paper titled "Effect of Wheat Germ Oil on Malathion-Pesticide Induced Hepatic Toxicity in Male Albino Rats" has been accepted for publication in a prestigious Q1 journal listed in the ISI rankings and published by ELSEVIER.
