"Good surgery... is a process that’s going to go on as those people are training others, and those people are going to be training others, and so on..." Fred told Channel Nine in 1992. 🌟 We're carrying on his 'teach a man to fish' ethos and, last year alone, we helped train 36,804 people, including surgeons, nurses and teachers. 👩⚕️ Thanks to people like YOU, Fred's legacy goes on! 🙏 READ about all the amazing work we did together in 2023 at https://lnkd.in/gTF4NKE2 #impact #results

Did you know that on each Operation Walk mission, our doctors share the most advanced knowledge of joint replacement surgery? Each team member teaches while working side-by-side with anesthetists, surgeons, internists, nurses in the operating room, on the floor or recovery room, in physical therapy, and during the central sterilization of instruments. During #teacherappreciationweek we recognize each of our volunteers for using their time and talents not only to help patients regain mobility but also for sharing their skill and knowledge with the colleagues around the world. #TeamworkTuesday

It's Friday and we love sharing feedback to end the week! This week's feedback comes from the project we did with The British Society for Dermatological Surgery (BSDS) to support medical professional development among doctors and nurses in the UK and worldwide. They delivered all their training face to face and wanted to move more towards eLearning to broaden their reach and make learning more accessible. Director of Artificial Heart, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and ECMO | Chief Medical Artificial Intelligence Officer | #AIinHealthcare
What inspired me to become a heart surgeon? It all started with the fundamentals of what excites you. To truly enjoy the beauty of what you do, you must understand the mechanism behind it and be able to fix problems in real-time. The satisfaction I get from cardiac surgery comes from knowing that I can make a difference when something is dire and wrong. The training is long and hard, but the rewards are immense. The patients you operate on and the team you work with are amazing. Finding the right mentors and people to train you is crucial, no matter where you are in the world. It's about pushing yourself to find every nugget of excellence in what you do. #CardiacSurgery #Inspiration #MedicalTraining #Mentorship #Excellence

Curious Surgeon👨⚕️| Navigate Your Medical Career with Ease and Joy | Learn Surgery | Live Balanced with My Online Guides ✨
Do you know that many overlook the importance of strategic planning in surgical training? But, so is thinking surgery is only about hands-on practice. The best surgical trainees skip both of these mindsets. Instead, they balance intense practical training with strategic periods of focused learning. Because the moment you ignore planning, goal-setting, or reflection? Someone else steps up who hasn’t. Don’t be left behind. Be intentional. Be strategic. Be proactive. And be aware of how these approaches propel you forward. - - - - - - Join Beyond the Scrubs Waitlist It is a community that helps you enjoy life both in and out of your scrubs, where your job is only part of your story. https://lnkd.in/eUrtJRKZ
